N-COLOR FOR SNAP HEAP IS HERE

This Snap heap rack isolates frequencies that belong to a scale by filtering out off-key frequencies that don't belong to the selected key!

N-COLOR uses a dynamic notch filtering system that filters out all off-key frequencies from your mid-frequency spectrum! It does this while also dynamically limiting the filtering area from 220hz-2400hz, ensuring a far cleaner blend of this kind of effect in any scale you choose!

This rack also splits the mid-frequency transients in order to minimize the phase rotation artifacts that come with minimum phase notch filtering! This makes sure the affected area stays sharp and punchy while still benefiting from the spectral process!

The idea is simple. We want to focus on only the harmonics that are scale-relevant!

By filtering out all off-key harmonics, we effectively are only left with the in-key harmonics!

N-COLOR applies notch filtering only when the COLOR macro is at the center. Pushing it towards the right will introduce the dynamic in-key peak filter system, further pushing those in-key harmonics!

N-COLOR is not a spectral pitch corrector. It will work better or worse depending on what the harmonics are like in the incoming signal!

To get better results, try pitching the input signal slightly up and down or use frequency shifting! Moving the incoming frequencies into the right spot for N-COLOR to do its' job better is key to a great result!

N-COLOR covers Major and Minor scales!

Opening the snap heap rack from the minimized view reveals the SCALE KEYBOARD using the Remap modulator!

The dot determines what note you're on. This will make it far easier to select your minor or major scale!

The FULL SCALE mode can be accessed by turning the Mod Wheel inside the rack to 100%! N-COLOR uses only 6 out of the 7 notes in a scale by default to retain harmonic consistency and more versatile usability by minimizing the amount of dissonance that can build up due to how scales have 2 halftone step notes for each octave.

FEATURES:

• KEY[C-B]: Lets you select the key that N-COLOR will focus on. This includes all 12 different base notes. Use the KEYS Remap indicator to properly select your key!
• [MAJ/MIN]: Switches between MAJOR and MINOR scaling! 
• COLOR: Introduces the dynamic notch filter system up until the center (0%). Anything above 0% will introduce the dynamic peak filter system up until 100%. -100% results in no spectral processing and N-COLOR will be effectively bypassed.
• MIX: Let's you mix in the effect as a whole.
