Hey everyone.

Unfortunately my computer died today. I’m still trying to figure out exactly what happened and how serious the problem is.

The only thing I know for sure right now is that the PC is triggering its power protection and shutting down.

Because of this, I currently don’t know when I’ll be able to properly get back to work or reply to messages and comments.

The hardware itself isn’t what worries me the most. What really matters to me is the data stored on my SSDs. So the worst-case scenario would be if the SSDs were damaged as well.

I’ll post an update once I know more. Thanks for understanding ❤️

Damn, hopefully the PSU protected everything. Might be a good idea to buy some cheaper HDD to back stuff up to and just disconnect them to keep stuff safe. Hope it's nothing major! 🖤

Yeah, I really hope the PSU protection did its job. There is standby power, but the motherboard doesn’t react at all when I try to start the PC not even the fans attempt to spin. I’ve already disconnected the peripherals, SSDs and water cooling, nothing changed. At this point I suspect either the PSU or the motherboard. The CPU is possible too, but less likely. What worries me most isn’t the hardware itself, but the SSDs. They contain years of my own model, texture, and material libraries, so losing them would be the real disaster. sounds like a RAM issue. try unplug your RAM/Replace your RAM and check for BIOS RAM settings.

I tried that. The first thing I disconnected was the GPU and I checked its power connector as well. Then I removed the RAM it didn’t help. The funny part is that almost everything in the PC is still under warranty except the CPU — its warranty expired just 13 days ago. So it would be pretty hilarious if that’s exactly what decided to die 😅

try to track what you did with your pc before he 'died', it will lead to a clue. out of my mind i will assume it's 100% RAM issue: pc tries to load and shut it self up, most cases it's RAM issues straight away - but you're saying it's not the case, so maybe the motherboard battery? maybe some cables in your motherboard went loose? you need to troubleshoot the issue.

I hardley believe your hardware were damaged (SSD), take your pc to a lab nearby to troubleshoot the issue before you spend money on something you are not sure it's the problem. yeah, it might be the motherboard as well.
