(The title is actually "Security Guard Saga" but that's not very descriptive. Maybe I should change it on Tumblr anyway.) I always hop on a trend too late. Were Gmod comics a thing? When was that? I don't remember it. At any rate I doubt the classics had anywhere near the level of obsessive-compulsive storywriting that I bring to the table. If you thought Zandar's Saga was byzantinely plotted, you should see what happens when I don't have the drawing slowing me down! FNIA Fanfic's biggest problem is that the characters are best known from a porno game but it isn't a porn story - so the prudes are scared off by the character designs and the pervs leave once they realize they aren't going to be getting their smut fix here. It's carefully crafted to appeal to absolutely nobody!

Indeed. The peak of their popularity, to my recollection, was in the late 2000's and early 2010's, around when gamer culture became cemented as "a thing" in the public eye. They were mostly filled with memes and gamer in-jokes. People still make them, but they're not as big as they were.
