And Spike the Fawn is a simp, confirmed. Do people still use hot water bottles and stick their feet in a bucket when they catch a chill? These are things I've seen in old cartoons but never in person. I figure Lana would use them because, her svelte Floozy figure notwithstanding, she is an old lady.

This killer storm has been a dud, at least in my area. We still officially have a few hours to go, but it's pretty much done. On Friday the weather man said to brace for as much as a foot of snow and over an inch of ice. Now it's Sunday night, and what we got was a little over an inch of combined snow and sleet which did not even stick to the trees because it was too cold. Some storm, huh? I've seen bigger storms in my pants! (I don't know what exactly that means but it sounds suitably contemptuous.)

I shouldn't get too cocky because we still have a week of freakishly cold temperatures and gusty winds in store (unless the meteorologist was wrong about that too). This could be potentially dangerous, but I get the feeling that the worst of my troubles related to this particular weather event will just be a painfully high electric bill next month.

Mercifully it wasn't terrible here either, though it started first thing yesterday and we got sun to help begin melting it. I'm glad you didn't freeze to death from a power outage.

mistakes where made. And yeah, was cold AF here and will be 10 below most of the week with the forecast. upside no snow or ice so far.

We had nothing but sleet. About 2 inches which was better than freezing rain weighing down and breaking power lines. The bitter cold is no joke. Frostbite only takes minutes at these windchills. Lana using that warming stuff is old but does work. I served in Alaska where 40below was common. It’s your extremities that get the brunt of the freeze. Warm them to warm your core. Glad it wasn’t that bad.

8" of snow and 0° F overnight temps. I'm glad my underground power lines are three blocks from the substation...

At least Spike's offering the flask. That's good booze in there. Weather? Supposed to rain and the high Monday is forecast to be under 70F, and under 60F Tuesday. Advisories are already posted.

that fawn isnt the only Simp for Lana .Id be willing to nurse her back to health..give her sponge baths >;) as far as feet in a bucket of water I assume in old times if someone was cold and their feet particularly were bad circultion then it would feel good to stick your feet in a bowl of hot liquid..preferably water I would assume but some might be into other things XD

Rub it in, why don't ya

I shoveled the driveway today, and it was actually more like three inches of some powdery granulated stuff (sleet, I guess, since it seemed denser than snow) with a firm crust on top. I had to get out my dirt shovel to break it because the snow shovel wouldn't make a dent. Once loosened I could scoop it up with the snow shovel. Took a little over two hours and I am gonna be sore on Wednesday. Never am sore the next day; always two days later.

Good lord! Under 60? Time to break out the parka!

Anytime Lana would let me 😈
