Typeandkey wanted the Tegericorp "Joke" Writers to pour one out in honor of Major Matt Mason. Lana is not going to like the puddle in the Writers' Room, and she's also going to want to know how they managed to smuggle booze in there. You should also be advised that the company only allows 3 weeks of mortality leave, after which Lana will expect the Major to get back to work.

In all seriousness though, did you know that Mitch saved the Ballad? LITERALLY. When the MSPaint Adventures Forum went down, I did not have backups of the first year of episodes because I had foolishly composed them directly on the Forum and not saved them locally. So all I had was the pictures and my memory of the story, which I was going to use to reconstruct it in Tumblr. Fortunately I only had to do that up until approximately the first appearance of Estmere (saying "Ohon ciefesboren" to a very young Adler Young) about a month into the run, because that's the point at which Mitch subscribed to the thread and started saving every update. He generously sent me those files, and thanks to his digital packrat habits the Ballad was restored!

He also donated the Epson scanner which I have used to get my drawings into the computer since ... gee, 2020 at least. So you see, he had a pretty big impact on the content you all "enjoy." (At least I hope you've been enjoying it.)
