So along with covering the same principles I mention in my how to draw a box video, I introduce you guys to a somewhat more rigorous method of developing your sense of 3D space.
Sorry about reuploading this - there was an issue that caused my video editing software to throw my footage's audio out of sync, and youtube doesn't allow you to switch out a video cleanly. So a long while ago, I uploaded a remarkably popular video, aptly named "How to Draw a Box". This video doesn't replace it, but expands on some of the topics and introduces an exercise that you can apply in a few ways to train your understanding of 3D space. Be ready to make a lot of mistakes though, because it's tough. What you'll need: - One black pen (ideally a fineliner/felt tip pen) - 3-4 (or more!) coloured ballpoint pens - A ruler (optional, you may wish to freehand the lines with the ghosting technique instead) This exercise can also be done digitally, though I still recommend doing it in ink on paper. Additional notes can be found on the 250 box challenge page: http://drawabox.com/lesson/250boxes. Also make sure you've completed lesson 1: http://drawabox.com/lesson/1. All the lessons on this channel as well as on http://drawabox.com are supported through my patreon campaign (http://patreon.com/uncomfortable) so feel free to pitch in if you've found any of this free material to be useful to you.
