Hey everyone, we are back with another 2 episodes in the rebels franchise, this is episodes 3 & 4.

You may notice that it looks like we are talking like we haven't seen the movie! this is because we hadn't... they was a mix up at the start and we had to go back and watch Spark of Rebellion! that has been done now so we can movie on in peace.

Such a great start to a show and has really introduced the characters in a way that makes you like each and everyone of them.

Thank you my patrons for everything you do and let us know if there is anything we could do to make it better!

To be frank, Kenobi is barely even about Obi-wan. I mean, it IS, but they basically use Obi-wan's name, put him in the show enough to justify him being the title, and then use a lot of the focus of the show to introduce a new character, who honestly isn't very interesting, compelling, or well written, following a plot that doesn't make ANY sense in the broader context of Star Wars as a whole, and creates blatant timeline contradictions with even the Original Trilogy movies. Calling the show "Kenobi" is almost-but-not-quite false advertising. Though a Kenobi show is theoretically a good idea, just like a sequel trilogy is theoretically a good idea, in both cases the execution made no sense at all in various ways, betrayed familiar characters from a story-writing perspective to varying degrees, and generally left a LOT to be desired. In my opinion, and even from a pseudo-objective analysis of how many legitimate, measurable and justifiable storytelling gripes there are, the Sequel Trilogy and Kenobi are both the absolute bottom of the barrel of the Star Wars brand. Regardless of what people's individual opinions of particular movies or shows may be, it's a fact that the Star Wars franchise has been tainted and isn't as beloved as it used to be, and it's absolutely undeniable that the blame for that can be primarily laid squarely at the feet of the Sequel Trilogy and the Kenobi show. Granted, the Sequel Trilogy is probably the worse offender when compared to Kenobi, but after the damage the Sequel Trilogy had already done, there was more than enough wrong with Kenobi that it served as the final nail in the coffin to sink the value of the Star Wars franchise enough that Disney is now strongly considering selling it. If you don't mind a trilogy/show that makes no sense from a plot perspective if you stop and think about it for any significant length of time, contradicts established events and/or established worldbuilding, and undermines or outright destroys the competence and/or personality and/or achievements of already beloved characters in order to make poorly written new characters look better by comparison... if you don't mind any of that and are perfectly happy to turn your brain off and not actually think critically about the movies/show when you watch them, then go ahead and watch the Sequel Trilogy and Kenobi. Again, of the two, the Sequel Trilogy is probably the worse offender, but both chronically suffer from all of the problems I listed to varying degrees of severity. If those issues DO sound like a turn-off for you, then don't bother with either the Sequel Trilogy or Kenobi. The only undeniably good thing you'll really be missing is some admittedly gorgeous spectacle, that unfortunately doesn't actually make any sense at all. The Original Trilogy is fantastic. The Prequel Trilogy is great. The Clone Wars is absolutely amazing. Star Wars Rebels is wonderful. Tales of the Jedi is a gem. Rogue One is brilliant. Bad Batch is good. The Mandalorian is very cool, though I haven't seen the later seasons and have heard they fall off hard. Book of Boba Fett is... ...I actually haven't seen it but I've heard mixed to negative things about it. Solo is... eh, it's okay. But Kenobi? The Sequel Trilogy? I think I've made my opinion of them clear.
