Hey everyone, we are back with another 2 episodes in the amazing Rebels, this is episode 5 & 6.

Rise of the Old Masters

Breaking Ranks

This show has started off so well and we are so happy that picked this to watch next. I have so many questions about these episodes (mainly who is the inquisitor) but I will keep quiet for a few more episodes.

Thank you so much for watching along and we really appreciate you all.

If you think back to Tales of the Jedi the dude Ahsoka fought had a lightsaber just like the Inquisitor's. I don't think it's much of a spoiler to say that, since that was clearly a different guy, there's been more than one Inquisitor, and thus it can be theorized that there still may be more than one. Which then also means that while obviously, the two Inquisitors you've seen aren't the same person and thus don't have the same level of skill, there's still a comparison where Ahsoka basically immediately kicked her Inquisitor's ass and killed him while unarmed, vs how much Kanan was struggling with the Inquisitor he faced. There are clearly levels to this, and Ahsoka, trained by Anakin and Obi-Wan, two of the best Jedi in the entire Clone War, to an extreme level, who held her own against Ventress, against Grevious, against MAUL, and survived Order 66 on HER OWN STRENGTH, where Jedi MASTERS fell and died, is obviously on an entirely different level from where Kanan's at. Also, fun easter egg from Tales of the Jedi episode 5: when Ahsoka takes the blaster test with the remotes in the jedi temple, there's a woman and a boy in the background of the scene observing Ahsoka taking the test, and when the test is over, the boy is clearly impressed and excited by Ahsoka's display. Fun fact, that boy is a young Kanan, and that woman was Depa Billaba, who the Inquisitor mentioned as his teacher in this viewing. Which besides being a fun easter egg, also reinforces the difference between them. Young Kanan was impressed and excited by Ahsoka's display in the test, while Anakin's response to it was, "You're just getting started Snips, now do it against Rex and the boys, and get your ass stunned repeatedly until you do it right." Don't get me wrong, I love Kanan, there's so much to like about him and his character, but that doesn't change the fact that when it comes to training and overall skill level, the gap between him and Ahsoka is massive. Don't remember if it has been mentioned in Season 1 of Rebels, but Kanan was a padawan, he never actually finished his training or even came close. Meanwhile with Ahsoka, Windu, by saying her ordeal of being tried for crimes she didn't commit was "actually your Great Trial" was basically strongly implying, "Yeah, if you come back into the Jedi Order, it's an immediate promotion to Jedi Knight for you." After all, in The Phantom Menace, when Qui Gon says that Obi-wan is ready to become a Jedi Knight, "The Trials" are all but directly stated to be basically the rite of passage to Knighthood. So yeah, we've got Kanan, who is a great guy and an amazing character, but who is also only a partly trained Padawan really, vs Ahsoka, who is an equally if not more amazing character and certainly one of the strongest Padawans in the history of the Jedi Order, and that's if you don't just outright consider her to be unofficially promoted to Jedi Knight as Mace implied would happen if she returned, in which case she'd still certainly be one of the stronger Knights around at the time of the end of the Clone Wars. ...I don't know where I'm going with this... or why... whatever, I said everything I wanted to.
