Pickles!

I remember receiving this in the mail because I was a Nintendo Power subscriber.

You guys should definitely try bee simulator now

I got my shit jacked by hornets or yellow jackets. I mowed over a underground nest and both legs from the knee down were stung a bunch including my feet.

Random tidbit: my family's from Hong Kong and in the 80s/90s, LaserDiscs were very popular there, ESPECIALLY for karaoke at home, which is what my family used them for. We also had a copy of Top Gun and Gone with the Wind, neither of which I've seen to this day...

I had a karate training video from the Power Rangers back in the day. Not sure where it came from. Tommy was the teacher and he started as the green ranger than switched to the white ranger halfway through. It was pretty cool. Y'all should cover that and see who learns the most!

When I was a kid, swimming at my cousin’s apartment complex, I accidentally squished a bee with my hand, getting out of the pool

andrew grimm

I had a friend who would punch wasps/hornets/bees if they came after him

The next time y’all do another Retro Rewind might I recommend “The insiders Guide to Pokémon Tournaments” from 1999. As a nine year old I somehow persuaded my mom to order a beginners set of Pokémon cards and memorabilia from the Home Shopping Network; including this VHS. This episode made me incredibly nostalgic for promotional material and demo discs! Do y’all have any particularly fond memories of ephemera of this caliber?

It's the green tree background on the whole box And I completely forgot the Killer Instinct reveal, as soon as I heard it, I was taken back I rewatched this tape over and over until I got my hands on DKC, and the end over and over until I got my day1 SNES KI preorder Preforder came with Killer Cuts CD, a hardcopy of the games soundtrack, still got that floating around too Man, nostalgia haymaker knocked me the fk out!! ❤️❤️

I am the Ranch of an entomology podcast (Bugs Need Heroes) and we did a series about bees called the Bee Team. The stingers of honeybees are designed to stick into the flesh of mammals like bears specifically to deliver the maximum amount of venom. Bees also secrete a pheromone to tell other bees to attack when they sting. This is also true of Yellowjackets, another insect that bears will eat. Yellowjackets don’t make honey so the bears (and skunks!) are just after the juicy protein-rich larvae.

Underrated banana format: grilled. Heat up the grill, throw the bananas right in there, unpeeled, cover and let em cook until the peel is black. Meanwhile, throw some cinnamon and nutmeg into a can of evaporated milk. After the bananas cool for a couple minutes, cut open the peel and drizzle the milk onto the gooey banana inside. You can also use an air fryer if a grill is hard to come by.

Huge miss not mentioning that Bad to the Bone starts with “BANANA-NA-NA”

SAME! And during the pre release of Starfox 64, we got a tape about how to use the rumble pack! Great stuff!

My pop ran the media graphic design department for most of Northern California, and we got to play with a lot of tech of the time(SGI machines, green screen studios) and the one that really sticks, is that he would bring the Beta max player home for us, and we got to watch the original Pixar proof of concept tapes, that SGI was shipping around to get folks interested in buying one for rendering! Great stuff…. And those tapes were massive! Like the Neo Geo of video media

Troy D Kemp

I'm pretty sure I got this and the Starfox 64 VHS. That one has a Sony and Sega rep teaming up to torture a Mario doll to learn the secrets of Rumble Pak technology.

Troy D Kemp

Actually it was the Diddy Kong Racing and Starfox 64 that I had.

Joel Pelanne

Bears are like unicron for bees is my takeaway

Elliot Reynolds

I have an old Diddy Kong Racing VHS!! No memory of where it came from.
