Heather, Nick and Matt answer YOUR questions about the Xbox!

Sexy Grandma's Retirement Home

First, thanks for answering my question. On the topic of faulty PlayStation hardware. I had to replace my PS3's disc drive - which required taking it apart and replacing a circuit board, data cable, and the drive itself. I recently had to replace the disc drive on my PS5 Slim. WAY easier! Only tool I needed was my fingers and a little force to pop off the bottom cover. Then I just popped out the bad drive and stuck in the new one. Really appreciated the design making this so easy. Would have appreciated the drive not shitting out after only two years, but what can you do?

Grant Prusi

Disc drive stuff is the worst. My old PS2 currently takes about 2 minutes to load a DVD, including DVD format games. I tried all sorts of things to fix it and it hasn’t improved, so I resorted to installing a hard drive with Free HDBoot and OPL on it, and ripped my games onto PC to load onto the drive. Works like a charm. For my original fat PS3, I had to replace the power supply at one point. It took some tools and a little work to get to, but was very easy to swap once I was in.

I’m baffled and delighted by how seriously Heather took my question😂

Lol at the Dropout/Rookie stuff

Vampire Weekend rules. I've seen them twice and they were great.

Neno

Halo rules

Since we all agree that Halo rules, I think it would be interesting for the crew to run through the CE Remake in all new stunning 4-player-co-op when it comes out later this year

Did Heather ever say, “Pating!” to indicate the start of the question block?

Andrew

Shout out to Knott’s, first place I played Street Fighter!

Create an Xbox that could save the system? … Have you seen the autojackers from CyberPunk?

Röbby

Had the same exact thing happen with my PS2, also ending in console replacement.

TheFakeVince

I switched from PS2 to Xbox 360 and I’ve been on Xbox ever since so I do really appreciate this episode. I have been considering switching back to PlayStation for the next generation. I do agree with Heather that the next Xbox needs a big design upgrade and if they can do something cool with the UI, that might get me to stay in the ecosystem

If you like Knott’s, you guys would LOVE Knoebel’s in Pennsylvania. Best bumper cars in America and a classic fairground feel. It’s debatably the best of one off parks in America. Also, Six Flags actually owns Knotts. Knotts used to be owned by Cedar Fairs, the Cedar Point people, but when Cedar Fair and Six Flags merged, Knotts became part of the family.
