The best movies are the ones you keep thinking about days after you’ve watched them. There’s things in Suzume I still don’t feel like I’ve completely figured out. I love that feeling

Ricardo Alanis

I grew up with Saint Seiya as well and loved it. Such great lore and the armors/cloths were so cool.

Cal

I LOVED this movie 🍿 one of the best movie cats of all time, absolute turd of a cat - 10/10 no notes 🤌

My wife a minute or so into Suzume, "Oh...this is the one with the chair everyone wants to fuck!"

Brad Pearson

So stoked y’all are doing Pluto!!!

Shout out to big O there was a cold open of a bomb going off in a church that terrified me for years as a child

One Piece is impossible to slow down on once you get hooked. I’ve been mainlining the manga, 800 chapters in after about 10 months. Really one of the greatest stories I’ve ever read/seen, an incredible adventure and surprisingly very socialist messages!

Garren Glore

Was really skeptical about the trajectory of this movie until the “twist” happened. I replayed Souta sliding off the roof so many times bc I was crying from laughter and didn’t want to miss anything

I agree with Nick on Blue Eye Samurai’s sweaty needle drops so much. I love everything else about the show and they mercifully only happen a few times, but it’s always jarring because the show has perfectly good original music the rest of the time.

You guys seem to have interpreted Tamaki's angry comments as mostly unrelated to the appearance of Sadaijin. I have no idea if this is right, but I interpreted it as Sadaijin showing up and their influence affecting Tamaki's comments toward Suzume. I'm really interested in the connection between Tamaki and Sadaijin, if there is one at all.

Enjoyed this movie. The animation in particular was incredible.

Sending you guys my next therapy bill because this movie absolutely broke me (I sobbed for the last ~45 min straight). But seriously, it was a gorgeous film, so glad to have finally watched it.

Late to watching Suzume but wanted to recommend Shinkai's earlier work "5 Centimeters Per Second" - it's a small sweet story, not as epic as Suzume but more relatable
