YEAAAH. FUCK YOU BOOK!

FairyTail

Why do I feel like the book is about to have some sort of final form? The book is about to go Kaiju mode.

butters

Byland redemption arc let's gooooooo

Zeanith

I demand an alternate bad ending once this ending is resolved. I want a full bimbo ending!

GrimFellow

And now with Byland freed, he does the course of action, that should’ve been done, a long time ago Man, i could just mentally hear the SSJ Vegeta Theme from the Bruce Faulconer Score, as he refuted the Book’s statement with that

Altoone

Okay hang on Byland, does that reverse everything? Im proud of you but my guy i hope you didnt toss away the ability to fix things

Juan Lopez

So in the end Byland has a heart. Was hoping for a bit more of Bimbo Bernice but i'm a sucker for this kind of ending.

ace_bluedrag0n

Watch the book be able to fly and go after Byland next

GrimFellow

I think your referring to Bibi, since that’s pretty much her Bimbo name

Your Servant is Your Master

With as many twists as this story has pulled in the last few pages, I'll be surprised if it ends up being that easy and everything is now resolved. Would be kind of screwed up if the guy who's been acting like a villain this whole time suddenly becomes the hero in the eleventh hour without whom the heroines we've been following this entire story would have been doomed / bimbofied forever (pick your poison). Also, the book is upside-down in the last panel, right? For something that's screaming its... lungs( I guess?) out in terror, it sure still looks pretty happy...

deboo Beepbob

Really hope there's not a "good ending" of everything being undone, but given Kobi's other longform works I am confident this is just a fake out.

GrimFellow

I mean, there could always be an Alternate Ending made to happen as a what if to all of this coming to end after all

Sonicrailin

About dang time that punk woke up and grew a backbone. Now how does he plan to get Bernice back to the way he loved her . . . be interesting if he'd held onto that mess of mischievous leather long enough to absorbed some of its magic to be able to alter others . . . now with his mind free, he can restore Bernice's mind and fix a number of his "mistakes" . . . having a city full of hotties to yourself is nice, but only if they've got brains to match their beauty. Night: well put brother. The major population of our castle staff maybe ladies, and each one of them a dynamite knockout . . . but each one is also superbly skilled and educated. As is the standards I set when I first began the harem way back when, hmmhmmhmm.

RedeemerofDark

You realize Byland was being controlled right? Him trying to make amends for actions that weren't even his isn't "screwed up" it's admirable.

RedeemerofDark

It's a malicious sentence that could brainwash him and you wanted him to KEEP IT?!

Your Servant is Your Master

My interpretation has always been less that Byland was being controlled by the book than manipulated by it. It used his playboy desires for Bernice and sexy girls in general to create the Brightshore that it desired. So while I do agree that Byland trying to make amends for his mistakes is admirable, he did make mistakes, and if he gets to make up for those mistakes and become the hero of the story at the last possible moment without suffering any consequences for his weakness, then yeah, I do think that's screwed up. And regardless of how you choose to interpret Byland's story arc, the cliche of the dark hero swooping in at the last second to rescue the poor, weak heroines in a moment of ineptitude a la Sailor Moon being saved by Tuxedo Kamen over and over again makes me want to retch every time I see it. So maybe agree to disagree?

RedeemerofDark

Bruh. Your making it out to be some anti-feminist ass pull. Bro JUST snapped out of whatever haze he was in. And I find it hard to believe he was "only being manipulated" considering he shows clear signs of amnesia about the past however many years Brightshore has been suffering the book's wrath.

Altoone

Absolutely not but I do want everyone who doesn't wanna be a bimbo to have the option to go back.

GrimFellow

Or hell, even LR INT SSJ Namek Goku’s Active Skill Theme from Dokkan Battle fits so well with the scene of this page, especially with how you can even see Byland’s anger slowly building up until it explodes from just seeing it at first hand on what the Book had done to Bernice

Your Servant is Your Master

Byland HIMSELF admitted he was a playboy and a philanderer to Bernice when they had their one night stand ten years ago (he didn't use those exact words, but the way he talked about himself made it clear that he knew what he was about and the kind of reputation he had), which was almost certainly before he ever found the book since he could have just made Bernice his right then and there otherwise. If there's something there for the book to use to make Byland do what it wants, then its manipulation, not control. Also, this story is about women being turned into bimbos. If you want to try to make this political, then I don't know how you can say this story is anything but anti-feminist. Personally, I'd prefer to treat it like the fantasy it is and not bring real-world discussions into the equation, but that doesn't mean I won't complain about the things I've already mentioned in my other posts because they are elements of stories that irritate me when I see them. So again, agree to disagree.
