Ahem… I think a YEET is in order, as it seems we may see the end of it all. Tho am I alone in thinking that book’s gonna reappear?

namer

I was hoping for a bad ending where the book wins 😔

GrimFellow

You know, for a book that is screaming with all it can as it gets tossed into the ocean, it sure kind of looks like it’s making a happy expression or something like that with it’s new formed mouth while all of this is happening. But other than that, YEET!

Sad Dragon

FUCK BOOKS! NO ONE IN THIS TOWN CAN READ ANYWAY!

Ian baker

I bet one of three things will happen next in the story. A, the bimbofied people will return to normal, B, they will get their minds back but their bodies will stay bimbofied, or C, the effects of the book will not be undone. I'm also betting one someone finding the book washed up on a beach and getting a "the end, or is it?" scene.

GrimFellow

Considering that there’s the possibility of that last hypothetical being true and actually happening, which will just instantly restart this mess all over again, it sure seems a bit convenient that Bernice didn’t think about burning the book too if all else fails to leave the island without getting permanently brain damaged by the book’s effects

Formulafox

I do not like this twist... Feels like a cop-out.

RedeemerofDark

In what way?! Have you been paying attention?! Bernice snapped him out of it just as she was bimbofid through the power of love! Something the book clearly doesn't understand! None of this is forced or random at all!

RedeemerofDark

No I think Kobi just got the design backwards.

Formulafox

I don't like it when the villain is just under mind control of some sort. I find it lazy, and it robs us of reason to give him a suitable punishment for his crimes.

RedeemerofDark

YEAH! WOOOO! YEETUS DELETUS BOOK! And now we have Byland to mourn the loss of the one he loves, whom is probably gonna have the investigation crew move in with him so he can take care of them to make up for being a constant obstacle for them (even if it wasn't his fault.) It's nice to see the big bad actually be proven innocent as I feel that only happens in an extremely small percentage of these types of stories. Anyone who's seen Kisekae works on DA knows that a majority of those end with "and the bad guy won and everything went their way. The end" so the last thing I wanted was to see something so played out. This is a pyrrhic victory, but we saw the kind of person he was before so I just KNOW that he can do it! Although I'm curious how the book will affect the sea life...

RedeemerofDark

You realize that 99% of these stories have villains that are either killed or receive some sort of karmic punishment right? And how is it lazy? There is no plot armor or deus ex machina here. Everything makes sense and happens for a reason. Just cause your mad you can't satisfy your kill boner doesn't make it bad writing.

RedeemerofDark

Also to the people saying he should've kept it for a potential fix. It can brainwash people and was clearly getting desperate. If he had kept it Byland couldn't have helped anybody cause the book wouldn't have let him.

Formulafox

Where did I say ANYTHING about killing? Don't make assumptions about someone because you disagree with their disappointment.

RedeemerofDark

I mean have you SEEN the people on DA that don't like Byland? I just assumed you were one of them.

Formulafox

Thus proving what they say about assumptions - they make an ass of u and mption. ;) I laid out what I wanted to see happen, both to Bylund and in the overall picture, very early after it was made definitively clear Bylund was behind it all. I got a LOT of thumbs ups on the ideas, even people who considered it harsh called it an appropriate punishment for Bylund and a good direction for the overall story. The direction taken here makes that option impossible without some kind of ass pull(and while I find this writing lazy, it is certainly NOT an ass pull as I'm sure some will call it), and even then following through with ANY punishment for Bylund at this stage would turn the heroes into villains - something that I'm EVEN LESS a fan of than the route currently being taken(for this specific story, I mean - I'm not opposed to the notion in general, it just needs a foundation that these sorts of deliciously fetishy stories don't have).

GrimFellow

It seems like some people are a bit too naive if they think that a perverted magical Spellbook would just willingly reverse everything back to what it once was

GrimFellow

That, or maybe it’s the backside of the book itself

deboo Beepbob

I mean is that really the bad ending considering what we're really here for? It ending this easily would be the bad end in my view

RedeemerofDark

I just don't understand why you think brainwashing is somehow "lazy" when everything supports it and none of this is crazy or out of left field at all. Why would a magic book that controls and rewrites people not be also controlling the original person too if it forwards their goals?

Formulafox

You're trying too hard to justify it. Just because things add up does NOT mean it wasn't a lazy option. The reason this was lazy is because its something that is OBVIOUS and easy to see. I even said way back when I outlined what I want to see that I was hoping it would NOT turn out like this because of how obvious an option it is. Now I'm not going to act like my preferred outcome couldn't be executed in an equally lazy way, but even if it was it would have been far more satisfying in a story like this. I'm not after high art(I'm literally giving money to someone who draws comics about people being turned into cartoonishly over the top bimbos - the level of cognitive dissonance that would be required to expect such is far beyond my ability to comprehend), but I still prefer a conclusion I find satisfying regardless of other factors, and the fact that Byland just turned out to be a mind-control victim like everyone else takes away that satisfaction. Byland was a great villain for a piece like this - a perfect target for a karmic ending. I do honestly feel a bit cheated by this path. I will say, however, that I hope Kobi DOESN'T use some kind of ass pull to change it around. I'm not the arbiter of the story - I'm just someone who wanted a preferred outcome and was disappointed(which is why I kept my initial comment short and to the point, rather than dragging anything out - I didn't want to accidentally create any implication that my stance should override the writer), and the WORST thing to have happen would be to make a change because some of us are disappointed.

namer

I mean true… I was hoping the story would end with everyone (including byland) being a happy bimbo

Clancy12

Honestly I feel like having alternative endings for this story after it's done would ebay really cool as at this point the story goes onto the "good ending" but it could've gone a more evil /world domination way

Meruvio

Reaction: AAAAAAAAAAAH I MUST WAIT ANOTHER WEEK FOR NEXT PAGE?!

GrimFellow

It sure is going to be stressful to wait and see what happens next week

(R)Owen(a) Hero

That mouth... looks a lot like how bimbos wear their underpants

Replica_Rabbit

I hope it fix there brains, but stay bimbo light
