KB3D NEXUS - The modular Gas Mask system: Standard Module (Patreon)

The Second module in the KB3D Modular Gasmask System refresh/standardisation. This modular system is now called NEXUS.

The Nexus is The Modular Gas Mask System. Built around a universal interface—dubbed The Insert—each module screws securely into the mask’s insert, allowing the function to be changed as required. The Insert is not included in this post.

This post contains the Standard module files. The problem with modifying a gasmask is potentially losing the original function of a gasmask. Before I continue let me define the original function of a gasmask, which is what this module tries to recreate. First is the look, gas masks have distinctive fronts, whether it be the S10 tri-lines or the mesh of a FMJ-08. This tries to replicate the style, which means each gasmask has its own standard module. The second feature this tries to recreate is the "outlet" valve function. As the front of these masks normally function as the outlet valve.

Available masks:

S10 - The S10 front plate can be pushed on this module. The outlet valve uses a specific umbrella valve which is avalible on the KB3D store (details of the valve will follow soon, so you can get them yourself). the design of this valve allows you to reverse the umbrella valve if you wish.

FMJ-08 - Utilises the original outlet valve for this module. Remove the outlet valve from the original mask and push it in the front. The front cap from the original mask can be then pushed on top.

FM12 - The FM12 front plate can be pushed on this module. The outlet valve uses a specific umbrella valve which is avalible on the KB3D store (details of the valve will follow soon, so you can get them yourself). the design of this valve allows you to reverse the umbrella valve if you wish.

MF11/FMJ05 - Utilises the original outlet valve for this module. Remove the outlet valve from the original mask and push it in the front. The front cap from the original mask can be screwed on top.

GP5 - Currently no compatible module

Some of these files will be a repeat of other posts. However this will hopefully standardise naming.
