The PR-01 RimSeat is the first in the new KB3D Playroom range. A fully 3D printed, collapsable and fully customisable 3D printed seat.

This item will only be available for the KB3D+ subscribers.

Please note, this is version 1 of the RimSeat. and also requires a large print bed

This seat was printed in PLA, and the only reason it works is because all the weight is passed directly into the legs directly below the yellow. the front arms and the back would not be able to support the full weight of a person.

To print this, the yellow portion needs to be printed in quite high infill/ multiple walls for strength. the remaining bits can be printed in your normal settings.

I have provided two lengths of legs, the lowest when I used it I felt I was being suffocated by the top. I have not had a chance to try the longer legs, but you can change the dimension as you see fit to get the right height.

This was printed on a Bambu H2C. So this does require a large print bed.

Next version leg to the back, this should help to share weight and if little bit leaned back, takes off the pressure of those other two legs

KB3D

So far I haven’t felt any worry about the weight. Once you have printed it, let me know what you think

Got the printer, 1st print bed scraper... 2nd just started... back connector... printing only 1 at time just in case... Thinking about my own weight, I would not sit on that chair unless there was another leg in the middle of the back part. Thou I am not the one sitting on it, at least not yet, I would feel much safer for the person who is sitting over my face... if there was the support at the back. Maybe do two version, for the long back, some sort of hinged locking for it maybe? I was thinking that, that back support would make it easier for other stuff too.. putting food bowl there... and... no need to worry about balancing... I put 20 walls, 35% infill with gyroid pattern. Rotated it, that hole is vertical.

I would recommend trying it. And see. I can add an extra leg if required. I’m not sure it’s needed

JSL

What settings you used to print these? How long did printing this take? I wonder if I am doing overkill in the settings...

JSL

Seat tested with a Domme. I can verify the "suffocation" on shorter legs, really good for breath play too. NOTE ON SHORT LEGS: I have large body. The seats front parts touch the chest. You can still put those over the chest area, but might limit where you want your head to be. Need to test this with longer legs, but this is going to happen much later... if you are smaller body person, I do not see any problem with short leg hight. Small pillow or padding underneath the head recommended. The connector piece could use some padding too, if you want the person sitting to have more comfort.

Looking forward to printing this.

Would it be possible to add another leg at the back and connect with with something like the connectors you made for the sides?

KB3D

They are not fast prints. I think I did like 3 walls, 30% infill

KB3D

Yeah, o have had a few requests for this. That will likely come with version2. I have not had any issue with the legs in this current position. As when I side, I sit so all my weight goes directly into the legs. But that isn’t always the case for everyone

Dmc

Cool, looking forward to v2.. also might allow for a slightly smaller 3d printer.. very cool design you have made!
