Starting a new game (fast skip) (Patreon)

I'm very proud to announce you the introduction of a "Skip to the update" option in General Practitioner 0.0.5 - "Clinical Methods".

As of now whenever I released an update you had to start a new game from the very beginning, because savegames were not compatible. While this is still true you now have the option to fast skip everything up to the newly introduced content of the game.

Right after the interview with Dr. Kirkman you'll be asked if you want to start a new game from scratch or answer a series of questions regarding previously made choices. Of course this game won't include EVERY choice you made, but the most important ones are all in there.

You will also start with 5000$ cash, altough your clinic's fame and other stats will still be the initial ones.

This feature will be available for alpha releases only and will be removed in the beta. Keep also in mind that if I add content to previously released story arcs or examinations (i.e. height and weight checks) you'll have to start a new game from scratch to see it.

I think giving you the choice to skip already played content is very important because having a choice is always better than having none.

This feature is an "alpha within an alpha", so you may encounter unexpected bugs while using it. Please be aware of that and report any strange behaviour of the game to me.
