I really think the lamb has everything you need from a pet archetype--compatibility with other kinks (predator/prey stuff, sleepy stuff, flock/obedience stuff, obviously the ba-ba babytalk thing), a cute sound or two for the sub to make, strong dynamics with the other popular pet play archetypes, and an association with cute accessories the domme can buy for them.
