I know you've said they're disarmed. But there's a part of me that really likes the idea that modern sisters still carry a dagger (and more than a bit of training in how to use it) under their vestments anywhere it's not outright prohibited. Not common knowledge, and they prefer to keep it that way. But try beating up a homeless person near an Ordo Mediare soup kitchen, and you might just get a painful history lesson.
