I can see this working for most people. The better the student, the more they learn from getting poked due to distraction.

Alright, but if I get stabbed and die, know that I die happy.

it would be fun to run through all the styles mentioned in The Princess Bride. (still one of the best movies to this day)

Brendin the Warlock

That’s basically what fencing is (also yay instructor Chan! I’ve actually used the great sword illustrations)

Duckwing

Instructor is one of my favourite characters 😁

I have some safety concerns. If these two ladies need to a.) settle an affair of honor and b.) be naked, then wouldn't oiled wrestling be less hazardous?

Your impression is quite accurate. Also known as "death by geometry". Thibault's style was Spanish, even though he was Dutch, and wrote the treatise in French. It is a long, and involved, treatise which gives *all* the details. It is a bit of a heavy read, but well worth it. Yes, I like seeing more of Instructor-chan, the way you display the different arts of the sword is excellent. Then again, I am a bit of a sucker for this sort of thing... call it the other reason I am here.

This made me remember a story I had not thought about in decades. Julie d'Aubigny. The French opera contralto who also was a known duelist in the reign of Louis XIV.
