it is not edited that way. it is actually one continuous shot.

the total number of takes differs from episode to episode, but they shoot several takes with each episode being shot (in full) around 10 times over 2 weeks. They then take the best take. Personally I love the way they transition from one scene to the next by following some random person that has nothing to do with either scene. Such a clever way of giving the camera a way to tie the scenes together.
