You have to suspend disbelief a bit with this show. The show needs you to buy into the fact that they are equal talents in order to work. But as you already picked up on Megan’s (the blonde) voice is just far better and more Broadway

I didn't know you were starting this! So excited. I liked this better than Glee personally since my school didn't have a glee club but I auditioned for plays and musicals throughout college and for a few years after in Chicago so I could relate to this process and experience so much more... plus all the top notch established Broadway actors in this show is so great!

Sherry Palmer

I almost passed on this. So glad I didn't!

If you imagine the director (Derek Wills) in a red coat and white wig, I'm sure it'll come to you. But if not, he played Norrington in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Thank you anonymous for sponsoring this! I love this show! This introduced me to Christian Borle. Since you watched Hazbin Hotel on Broadway recently, the guy who plays Tom(he hates the director ) is the one who plays Vox 😄.

I bet you see it now, don’t you? 😂😂

Wow, I haven't seen this show in years. Loved it when it was coming out though, and I'm excited to see your reaction to it! The cast is absolutely A-list, and I don't even think you mentioned all of them. The actress for Ivy is a broadway star, has played Glinda in Wicked before. Christian Borle is amazing, Brian D'Arcy James plays Debra Messing's husband, and one of my absolute favorite theater people shows up later :) There's also so many songs that I still have on my playlists today

I waz waiting for you to recognize him but you never did 😅

I don’t know what kind of bubble I was in whenever this came out because I’ve literally never seen or heard anything about it! But I’m very excited to watch along with ya- I was certainly captivated by that pilot episode! 👏

So, I'm not a huge fan of the drama in this show, but I am a huge fan of the musical performances in the show, so here I am lol. I'm only watching the musical performances this time around because of that. Ivy (the blonde, as you called her) definitely has a more Broadway-esque voice than Karen (Katherine McPhee), but I like both their voices equally for very different reasons. Ivy's voice is bigger, more bombastic, and man does it carry across any room or stage! Karen's voice has a much different quality to it, but you can feel it in a much more subtle way. She has more of a storyteller voice that makes you lean in more, while Ivy's voice has you backing up at her power and her raw talent. Each makes its distinct mark. For Broadway, I'd definitely pick Ivy, but then again, I do think Karen's voice is more fitting for the part of Marylin Monroe, so, it is a harder choice than it first seems. Having said that, I'd still give the edge to Ivy.
