I partially wanted to give lovely patrons the opportunity to get a jump on things, but MORE IMPORTANTLY I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything super obviously missing or weird before it went up to everyone, so please feel free to comment feedback if you notice anything!

I'm a musical theatre style singer with no experience in straight voice acting but I'm DYING to get back on stage lately so this could be interesting! My biggest concern though, is logistics of recording and equipment. My mic would be my iphone and my recording studio would be my car or bedroom. I understand auditions would be more lenient in audio quality but what about the project itself (or future projects)? Would that be enough?

If we were to audition for multiple characters, should we include them in the subject line? Or should we only put one character? Ex. “First Last - Narrator/Albern”?

Im definitely interested in auditioning but i have a couple of questions... First.... i do have a decent mic on a tripod with noise-cancelling panels and the Adobe Audition Software to record the audio, but i do not have exactly the ideal space for recording (like an isolated booth) so some external noise might still get recorded.... would that be a problem? Second.... I plan to use my very own Voice Demo alongside my character audition to showcase my range... but i did that demo on my native language... Spanish. Would that be a valid thing to send?.

I don’t have access to any kind of good recording equipment at the moment, but if I get cast I would be able to get some. Would that affect the audition evaluation at all? Would I need to state in the email that I can get access to better equipment if it is deemed necessary?

Honestly, the first question is very hard to answer until I hear the audio myself… I know that’s not immensely helpful. For your second question, Spanish is completely fine! I’ll still be able to get a good idea of your timbre and delivery

Important question regarding audition audio: I am working on getting a mic as my previous one has died an ignoble death after 15 years of use and moves, however I don't know that I will have one yet before the audition submissions are due. I of course would immediately provide a sample of my audio quality once a new mic is secured and arrives, if I'm being considered with any seriousness, but I'm mostly wanting to know if it's even worth my time submitting an audition if the audio quality that I'll be able to submit will be lower than the audio quality I will be able to provide later on? (Sorry for asking here, I just don't get notifications of youtube replies generally, and I don't want to send a question to the submission email, but there's no information on where to send any questions like this other than... just commenting.)

I’m asking because I want to wait till my PTO starts (this Friday) to record my Audition. And second… is this a musical project?. Because if it is… then I’m gonna have to sit this one out 😅.
