I think the better bluff for Brooke would have been to have taken the Po out for a drink, as it would have explained the lack of death the night before and then she could have convinced someone not to kill the next day. (potentially Dom would kill a corpse and they could have thought it actually was a Po.) just a thought.

Yes thats right - the very function of the evil team, and the minions specifically, is that they would not want their demon/team to lose. Does this really need to be spelled out in the rules when the major factor driving the progression of the game is the evil team trying to kill all good players/keep demon alive until the end. The only reason that would need to be spelled out in the rules explicitly was in the case of a minion deliberately sabotaging their teams success - in which case you may as well make it a rule that minions cannot nominate their demon 9to eliminate sabotage) - but making a rule like that goes against the very spirit of the game, as nominations/executions can also be bluffed. In essence, if it needs to be spelled out explicitly that evil wins when no good players live, then I think you have forgotten the very function of the evil team?

no shade at all just genuinely curious. if the story tellers are supposed to be on the side of whoever is losing to highten the story, why would they chose to make isaac drunk instead of brooke at the very end? he could have survived that night i think and they could have had another night.

I thought the same thing, but then I realised they pretty much had to in order for the game to end. There was no way the town would execute him at that point, so it would’ve just been prolonging the inevitable, which was the same thing happening the next night and potentially the night(s) after as well. Maybe one extra night would’ve been fairer..? / but I see why they did it.

Watching this again, daddy ben completely screws the good team at the end. Carley is killed on the understanding that if there is a zombuul, there would be one more day. Ben then decides to allow the kill on isaac, meaning an evil win. what exactly had evil done to 'deserve' the win? Good had literally worked out 2 of the 3 evil, and dom as the 3rd had been speculated.

It would have been an endless loop at that point…. They would keep exicuting dead people trying to find the zombul. Isaac is the only good player left and only alive people can nominate. So olí and brook won’t nominate any one. Most of the ghost votes would have been used on Carly and or Adam in the next night. If isaac the drunk kept choosiing alive players to drink with and was not made drunk he would not have ever been able to die by the zombul and thus the game would never end it would just keep repeating with the only votes being Isaac, olí and brook

I feel like the payment tiers that you have available on here is lacking to me needs more work if you are asking £4+ pm. Although, i will say the effort that was put in to these 2 in person BotC are absolutely fantastic you should be proud of yourselves. ONE YEAR! One year in the making, but Oliver Davies finally gets his revenge on the Billiard Boys! 😈 He had Jon and Adam wrapped around his little finger for that entire game, absolutely brilliant! I'm so glad he just outed evil and gleefully basked in that moment that his bluff was revealed! 😄 Brooke's assassination of Laurie night one was huge too, as it threw the entire well of information in chaos as it made the gossip seem legit! I don't think a demon could ask for two better minions!

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but at 47:23 Isaac as the sailor goes for drinks with Carly. Then Carly Gambles that Adam is the Chambermaid. Normally she would have been correct but since she was drunk Carly should have died from that right? ...... just got to 55:28 and based on Carlys words she should have died from gambling on Adam because Isaac went drinking with her. Please note I’m not criticizing or anything, I’m just paying attention and trying to learn how to play.

I know mistakes happen, but Ben did give Adam wrong information night one (the 1 on Carley and Oli when neither woke up) which threw everything off for town, sowing all kinds of mistrust. Really sad the game played out the way it did.

Can anyone help me understand why the game ended with three players alive? The video didn't track ghost votes, but it seemed like there were still enough ghost votes to outvote the evil players on the last day. They might have killed the demon on the last day, right?

OK I get now that the reason for this is that the dead players can't nominate and the alive evil players won't nominate anyone, so it's a de facto win for evil. Weird that the rules don't mention that as a specific win condition.

I haven’t read the rules but I agree they should have definitely clarified that as a win condition. I mean, it makes intuitive sense but the rules should always strive to eliminate ambiguity.

No, you don't need to clarify it as a win condition. The win condition is still that there are 2 players left alive, one of whom is the demon. Here, because there are only evil players alive and they all know each other, it is inevitable that the win condition is reached. So Ben could have gone through having the minions refuse to nominate that day, then they go to sleep, and then the demon kills one of their minions. But it's pointless because there is nothing good can do to stop evil winning, and evil knows it. However, there are other scripts with characters that can mean only evil players being left alive does not inevitably give the evil team the win, and in those cases the Storyteller would play out the last day. For example, one evil player may be a marionette and not sure if they are really evil, or a poppygrower could have died poisoned and the evil team were never told who their fellow evil players were. In such a case, an evil player may end up nominating the demon, and then good could still win.
