Dom is ALWAYS. right! 😋

Scott Byrne

It's funny knowing that in one of the recent in-person games Ben made the opposite ruling on an alchemist godfather.

Arthur Vrijaldenhoven

i wonder what would have happend if the storry tellers gave Blair her godfather kill when Luke was killed

Ron

Should have kept Sully alive and pushed that he was the demon. It would have explained Ken getting wrong info and Brookes power not working.

Louise

No Dashii poisoning doesn't explain Brooke the 'Golem' not working, it only poisons townsfolk not outsiders which the Golem is, so it would've skipped Brooke and poisoned Dan in that world

Jessica Hintz

Brooks tell is her repeating “hmmm”” yeahhh” “mmmm” 😂😂

ad

like three people said they would vote for jon and adam nominated blair???

Glenn Owens

Yeah you really feel it in this game because they played so well the whole time with just a small blunder at the end costing them the whole thing.

Erin Phillips

Blair being labelled as Brooke in the introductions is sending me just a little. The opportunity to then put Blair under Brooke would've been right there.

Ruth S

Can’t watch Luke as the Gossip and not hear the quote ‘I gossip that i am Luke’. Absolute classic.

yaMboiler

I loved how furiously Brooke reacted to that. I reacted very similarly!

yaMboiler

Two wrongs don't make a right

*spoiler* If I were Adam, on the last day, I think I would have sold the idea that Blair, Jon, and Brooke were the evil team. If Jon was the No Dashi (possibly after Dom made him that) and Luke was the drunk, that would mean that Ken was poisoned (hence seeing Adam as Scarlet Woman) and that HE, Adam, was poisoned (which could account for his alchemist role not being correct). Luke's gossip that three letter names were the demon (Jon) would not have gone off, since he was the drunk. Blair, as the minion, would not have gotten her bluffs and would have been as sus as she was being. She and Jon were pretending to be at odds, to take suspicion off of Jon, since she was pretty obviously a minion. Sully, who would have been sober and healthy as the fortune teller, got Jon twice as the demon. Dom had been right from the beginning and Brooke, as the Godfather who was told that a drunk was in play, sowed confusion by claiming to be a Golem, discrediting Dom. I think the two things that does not account for is that 1) a sober and healthy Innkeeper took Dom and Jon to drink on the night that Dom changed the demon and, if Jon was the demon, he would not have been made drunk and therefore Dom would have been drunk instead. But that could just mean that Dom tried to change the demon — who already was a No Dashi — into the No Dashi. And 2) that Adam was insistent that his alchemist role was a Godfather and he was given Golem. Even if the storytellers lied to the poisoned Adam and actually told him that, the minion Brooke would have had to have been lucky to bluff Golem out of all the options (though it would have been between Golem and Recluse as the best roles and Golem would be more fun to play).

FernandaWritesStories

they changed the rule on the vortex/poisoning affecting the alchemist because the idea that you know you are the alchemist, but if you're poisoned/ vortex then you dont know what ability you may or may not have doesnt really makes sense. Poisoning can give false information or make you think you did your ability, when you didnt do it, but it doesnt change the ability thay you have

Dave Thomas

Im not normally the sort of person who takes delight in over peoples misfortune (honest!) but seeing how wound up both Jon and Dom got throughout this was comedy gold! Maybe I AM evil?

Random User

2 redheads and a scarlet woman

Lee Dellbridge

Awesome! Love seeing Blair be evil it doesn't happen enough :)

Nick Hiatt

Is it just me or does Brooke make a lot more sounds when she's evil?

Worcanna

Laurie asks Ben that he thinks storytellers need more power. And if you play BotC, you most likely grinned very wide, knowing dark secrets like we do. A hint for others : All BotC players know there is a god...of sorts. ;) It's just a matter of if you believe.

Qweedle

Blair's name is wrong in the intro (sad face)

Scott Peaden

No no Brooke's name is totally correct in the intro.

Ali from Australia

I was just coming here to say that... Blair was also labelled as Brooke 🤣

Milksword

The Dom/Adam Clocktower rivalry is approaching Laurie/Jon levels, I love it.

Donny Wilson

Did I miss something because I thought Blair should have gotten to kill when Luke the drunk outsider died?

Roger

Think Godfather only kills when an Outsider is executed by the town.

Eric Stark

Sully needs to be on "8 out of 10 Cats". So needs to be on that show. ASAP

Quentin Doyonnas

Specifically they need to die during the day. Luke died at night.

Alex Bauer

Where is Carley? I feel like we haven't seen her in a while.

Donny Wilson

Thanks for the clarifications

Alex Bauer

Also, do you plan on using the Al-Hadikhia anytime soon?

Amanda S

I love the way that Adam reacts whenever a pet is brought into frame.

BroostaMan

pretty sure they needed to die during the day and then she could kill that night

Sean C

Yeah, Adam seems like he really loves animals, which is something I respect about and have in common with him.

Mark Thacker

It’s a joke, people for some reason get Blair and Brooke confused so NRB have just leaned into it

Qweedle

Yeah. I wrote this after just watching the intro. I caught onto the joke later. Still bothers me somewhat because, as a woman in a male dominated career I know how demoralizing it can be to be regularly confused with one of the only other women there.

Michael

They did in the Kickstarter game.

Edouard Lorenceau

This was a fun one! I think that for the next (non-patreon-exclusive) one, you could have a player show up after Day 1 as a Traveler, since we haven't seen any of them in the NRB games yet. It would be extra fun if it's someone we haven't seen in BotC games in a while, like Carley!

Natasha Jester

Probably my favorite of any of the games either here or on YouTube. Tense and close the entire time. Dan, Holly and Ken are welcome additions.

Kyle Carnett

Ken is such a smart addition to these games, he’s so intelligent and yet so chaotic. I love it! Poor Jon. I wish he didn’t take this game so personally, because it blinded him to some very rational points Holly was trying to give him. Jon if you’re reading this, remember that death is not the end!

Adam James Thomson

Felt like Adam was trying to sabotage things for evil when he nominated Brooke lol

Ryanfuss

This is my favorite BOTC episode, it’s also no surprise as Dom Allen is my favorite member of NRB. He has finally got his flowers , all is right with the world. 😁

Josh456

Maaaan, I honestly hate when good wins in these games because evil is the underdog and way more fun to play as

Fluffer McNugget

1 - Ken played the Ravenkeeper BEAUTIFULLY! Flawlessly bluffing important roles straight to the demon’s face and getting killed in the night was 🤌🏻 2 - I love how they all raise their hands when they want to say something 😆

Fluffer McNugget

I don’t know how it would work (I’m not smart enough to incorporate it), but it would be cool to have a version of the game where if someone is double poisoned/drunk, then they get correct info no matter what or something like that

N&S Landers

We cannot wait for this to happen! I was hoping this is a hint for a future episode ✨

Luke

Would be interested in clarifying rules on this… maybe I’ve missed something. But isn’t the best way to test a Golem bluff simply to ask them to nominate again next round? The only possibility if the nomination goes through is that they are lying — good information — or possibly have been made drunk or poisoned, which is helpful to know in validating or invalidating other claims, or confirms the type of game you are in. It is not possible for The Drunk (the character type) to believe they are a Golem, since they can only believe they are townsfolk, and many demon effects that poison players passively (like the No Dashii effect) only affects townsfolk, the list of ongoing possibly sources of drunkenness and poisoning are remarkably small, so either way, this is incredible information for the good team. It seems like it should always be the meta to insist them to nominate again next round to prove their claim of Golem, and this seems like a shockingly big risk for the demon to take, even if there is a Scarlet Woman in play… especially that early.

Lukas Thelen

Since the description of the Golem says that you may only nominate once, trying to nominate again would be considered cheating. Of course, nobody could do anything against it but if you believe that you are the Golem you just don't try to nominate a second time if you want a fair game by the rules.

JohnnyCat

It is considered outright cheating for someone who believes they are Golem to nominate twice. You aren't allowed to do it -- it's not a thing you can test.

Luke

That’s fair, but in that case, I think that should be made explicit in the rules, since this is not how the rest of the powers that have a single trigger work, and is also not the way most other “may” effects work. I know it’s an experimental character, but I don’t think the rules are sufficiently clear here to say definitively “it’s considered cheating” without further clarification.

Arthur Friguglietti Silveira

Like the butler and klutz, it's a character that works on an honor system. If the real Golem nominates a second time, the storyteller would have to go with it because they cannot confirm the golem. I'm not really sure what the storyteller can do about characters like this not following the rules.

Peter

I've barely started watching but I can already see Dom making this a legion game
