I hope the vote includes a "just throw the talking heads in at the end and add the tumecodes" so we can enjoy them but not have the editor do a million hours of work and so they don't intrude on the good times

Yeah, it seems that they are likely to remain. Even if it is telling that when arguing against them not being in the video people didn't make any positive arguments for them, showing good examples and how they improve the experience, they were petulant and said 'you can just fast forward' which is just saying 'I agree you think they suck, but ts'

I would love for someone to actually sell the idea they add to the episode and convince us why we shouldn't be sad if they are included.

Question for the room: some of you may have seen me on YouTube, does anyone here have an opinion of my posting of the talking heads in the comment section? I think at the very least I quit if the vote comes out to leave them in, but I was thinking about going through the entire back catalog and doing every talking head ever. Activity on this comment may go a long way in determining how I proceed

I enjoy them and like watching them. I dont find that it dampens my experience or flow or anything but YMMV. When they aren't there I feel punished a little bit tbh in that I paid extra for more content but in order to get ALL the content I have to go thru more steps. Maybe those aren't compelling reasons for you, but for me I'd rather they were in the uncut - I am willing to compromise and have them included in bulk at the end (though if this were the case perhaps including a little bit of the surrounding "context" would be nice since without it they might be harder to enjoy).

I don't really get why people would not want them in. They are a look into the players thoughts in the moment when those thoughts are relevant. It can give insight on why they did that particular action, or help us understand them better as individuals, or even just add on to a really good bit that if seen outside of the context of the bit having just happened would just make it awkward or tired.

Have you changed the lighting or colour grading? Things seem brighter, slightly more washed out than previous vids. Or do I need my eyes checking 😅

I said in the previous video is that they feel artificial as recorded after the fact but have to pretend they weren't, they make it feel more like a TV show then a bunch of friends playing board games and in previous episodes they have spoilt stuff like who is a secret traitor before it is revealed in game outside of the close your eyes bit

I just want uninterrupted gameplay, like we've had since the inception of uncut... disappointed talking heads will win, wish there was a separate tier to carry on as normal, I'd sign up to that in a fucking heartbeat!

The spoilers issue is something they should fix, I agree. I usually watch with the secret traitor revealed since, for me, it's more enjoyable, but on occasion I will close my eyes and there was once that I did that on a public episode and the traitor was spoiled which really discouraged me and I ended pausing the episode and doing something before going back to it later. Luckily, it is a very easy fix and it just requires Teri to ask different questions during the segments. It does mean the traitor loses the only outlet to explain their actions and that is nice when you don't close your eyes, but compromises are inevitable. I do find it interesting that you feel that we are supposed to pretend the segments aren't filmed after the fact. I've never felt that was the intention for either this channel or actual TV shows, like Lego Master. It is the player's (or whatever they are referred to on each show) chance to think back and explain their thoughts. It's not meant to feel like a part of the current moment, but it is meant to reflect on and enhance that moment. I do think it might be better if they included the question(s) Teri asked. But that may also just be me. I hope I've been able to give you some insight on how my side of this vote is thinking, or at least how some of us are. I know you have help me understand your side a bit more, so I thank you for that.

If you're not bothered by the patreon exclusive games of BOTC and the extra, online board game clubs, there's no reason to carry on with your subscription. Thankfully I enjoy both of those things, I just hate that my favourite series is being ruined for no good reason.

It is one of my favourite games too. It's so easy for people to learn and the different menus mix it up so plenty of replay value. Great little game.

Apparently an unpopular opinion, but I really enjoy the talking heads. But if they aren't in uncut I'm not going to cancel my sub and stop supporting the channel, like others have suggested they might if the TH's are kept. At the end of the day, I enjoy NRB for what NRB produce.

The DRAMATICS in these comments, holy geeze lol. I enjoy the talking heads because it's literally just seeing all the content, they could put out a video of them talking while painting a wall and I would find it hilarious. "I have no choice but to unsub and stop giving you guys my support if you include this extra three minutes of content" is some SERIOUS gaslighting. You're allowed to prefer one way over another, but some of you are guilt-tripping on a level approaching my mother at this point.

This exactly. There's apparently a very loud, very angry minority of people that are VERY serious about withdrawing support if they don't get their way, and since this is a YouTube channel and not America, there's no real harm in excluding the talking heads, even though I would prefer to watch everything the channel produces. As Taylor Swift says, you need to calm down.

I enjoy the other Patreon content, but I initially subbed for the uncut BGCs as it's my favourite series as well. To me, the talking heads just make the episodes feel way less uncut in general.

I wouldn't say it's gaslighting. I personally would prefer no talking heads, and the only reason I would consider not continuing to sub despite loving all of NRB's content is because I subbed initially for the uncut BGCs. The talking heads just make the episodes feel a bit less uncut to me.
