The Bynums have been in Willow Creek for generations. Anne’s great-grandmother was a famous cabaret singer. She used to perform at what used to be The Blue Velvet, where she met her husband, Antoine Bynum, the richest man in town. He ran a very successful shoe factory. The building still exists, but has been converted into a nightclub. When Marielle got divorced, she moved back to her parents’ house, where she now lives with her two kids. Her brother never left but hopes to go to the city soon.
