Well, very nicely done and done! While they played with the timeline a bit to bring it back to Mao and Hisashi, I’m not sure I’ve seen an adaptation, live or anime, that has been more faithful to the original manga. I’ll bet 90% of the dialogue is straight from the manga, while many, many scenes were framed just as they were originally illustrated on the page. I’m glad you like this so much Tita. I was so excited to know this smart, sensitive and heartwarming story was being adapted, and was hoping for something worthy, and it really delivered. Now that volume five is out in English (as of Tuesday) I’m looking forward to reading that, will be anticipating the translation of volume six… and will no doubt be crossing my fingers that those volumes will be adapted someday too. And hey, wouldn’t it be fun to get a live action version of TOOF? Find the right actors, and that could be really special. Cheers!

Yay! Great series, beautifully animated as well. Glad we got to see a little bit of everyone and finished off with main couple in the end. Thanks for reacting to this series 🥰
