The acting and story were worth watching. Still, I tire of BLs that depict men unable to start or sustain meaningful romantic relationships because they cannot communicate their vulnerabilities. And even when they come out on the other side of an unnecessary time jump (usually with no contact), we learn nothing of the maturation that will allow them to enter into a healthy relationship with their love interests. Weave that element into the narrative to fully develop the characters and the story. Without it, these endings feel typical and hollow to viewers.
