Perfect 10 Liners - Episode 14

We just aren't going to see eye to eye on this one I'm afraid, Josie. Nothing in this episode explained or made it ok that Yotha kissed Wa and put Gun's life in danger, or how Yotha doesn't feel the seriousness or own up enough to any of his fuckups. Yotha needs consequences, and therapy, not a relationship. And Gun needs to love himself first, and meet someone else that's not oppressively self-centered and broken. But of course, more kissing and cuddling and Yotha chasing now after the damage is already done will be enough to have most people squeeing over them again. PerthSanta were really poised to become a BIG DEAL for a minute there, but I'm not so sure anymore with the bad taste YothaGun has ended up having. But it's not PS's fault, and if ForceBook can recover after a cheating storyline and a character like T*p, then PerthSanta probably aren't going anywhere.

Yotha explained why he liked Wa and why the got together but nothing about why he kissed him that night after he had just kissed kissed Gun that morning. I would've locked the door too if I was told to move on if someone better came along. Newton tried to describe each brother but we still don't know Yotha's trauma

Yotha's 🧠: "I like him, I more than like him. I don't want him with anyone else but me. BUT I don't know if I love him" Gun: ☺️😍🥺😢 Me:🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️

Like, imagine if your crush was a fucking idiot and made you listen to them explain why they loved their ex and would still be with them today if not for them breaking up with him, and not why he was putting his lips on said ex's the other night if they're truly over and he only has feelings for you... My crush would be dead and buried, both my feelings and the idiot, right there on the beach. Is Yotha actually brain damaged? Has all that self-pity caused early onset dementia? Is it an untreated concussion after getting his ass beat too many times?? He's a real moron.

Rdj

He really is! I thought it was too soon to be kissing on the beach...I was annoyed at the end of episode 13 when Gun asked him to go on the walk. Gun has to protect himself better. I wanna love Yotha but right now the player is playing.

Mind you, it was Wa that changed his mind and ended things, but now Yotha can't tell what his OWN feelings are and what they mean. I wish I could be more sympathetic, but Yotha just takes it too far. Why is he acting like he doesn't know literal words and what their definitions are, like he's been so hurt that he's got to learn how to read and write again, and still can't. It's beyond overdramatic. And everyone has enabled him. smh.

UPDATE: Siwaj (the director), ADDED THE YOTHAWA KISS AND IT WASN'T IN THE NOVEL! No wonder it doesn't make any damn sense! Not why it happened and why it's not really being addressed. A half-baked stunt to try and be edgy by the director, with poor handling and storytelling that can't justify it. Ruined a whole chapter and couple of his own show!

I understand Yotha. Every piece of love that was around him ended in disaster and he got hurt. So to see what Love might be available to him he doesn’t know how to accept it. Poor Gun his feelings are going to every aspect and he’s crying one day smiling one day it’s too much. But he has a great support system especially his 2 dogs that were happy to see him when he got back from his trip! Lol

It’s hard to see sweet Gun sad and depressed. 🥺I understand Yotha trying to be “sure” before he gets into an “official” relationship. The only problem is he’s doing everything an official relationship involves accept giving his partner security which is basically leading someone on. He doesn’t realize that he does love Gun and that his contradictory behavior just causing Gun trauma… the very thing he’s trying to avoid. I can’t wait until he just decides to let go of fear and give in to love. I want to see Gun smiling again.

It’s nice to see W and his partner being mostly healthy and “lovey dovey” too. 🥰 I like it when these actors get to be more real instead of cartoony like in We Are. It’s also fun to see the development of the brother’s relationship. ❤️

The depiction of Gun and Yotha's unhealthy relationship perfectly illustrates that even decent people enter into dysfunctional relationships because they lack self-confidence, proper life skills, and the emotional solvency to develop a nurturing romantic relationship. Gun and Yotha's attraction to each other should exist on the playground of a daycare center--with Neosporin and Band-Aids at the ready. Yotha's treatment of Gun defines him as extremely selfish, undisciplined, hypocritical, indecisive, and downright emotionally unstable. Notice how Yotha's impaired relationship with Wa plays out. His attention, intention, emotions and desire to share intimacy fluctuate so effortlessly that Gun remains off-kilter and exhausted. Gun's immaturity, insecurity, and habit of pleasing people lead him to grant Yotha too much emotional and physical access. Without fail, he gives his power over to Yotha and gets very little in return. Together, they indulge in disorienting and unnecessary intimacy that should not occur while they discover whether to halt or evolve the situationship in which they find themselves. It is unlikely the writers of this series will sink their ship; but, as we witness their emotional immaturity, it is absurd to suggest that Gun and Yotha aren't ages away from becoming equipped to navigate the maelstrom that is their relationship. I have empathy for these adorable characters, but I don't enjoy watching them falter. #SweetYetDumbBabies

I am all over the place emotionally. I cant really be mad fully at Yothambecause of all the mental health issues with that family. Itcwas a joy to see Klau and Wa together. Tita, please rest.
