Despite their power imbalance in the main series, I set aside my misgivings in this special episode to see how they would evolve. Simply, growth and believability are what make Johan/North work. Kudos to Maxky/Bas & the writers for this uplifting demonstration of their love. North's love, care and humor soften Johan's rough edges by disarming his ill-natured manner. And Johan is the simp who gladly gives his all to make North happy. Why not? North is the blithe spirit who transformed Johan's life. To be honest, the sweet and tender moments in this special series suckered me into warming to their relationship, especially once I realized North is still in college...(wink).
