My Golden Blood - Episode 12

Yea, this story as a whole did absolutely nothing for me 🤷🏿‍♀️. Which is too bad because I actually really like Gawin as an actor, just not in this!

Each week, I hoped the series would eventually resonate with me. It did not. No desire to watch this series ever again is my litmus test. The vampire lore, acting, and overall narrative were inconsistent. Gawin, who is a good actor, did not seem to fully embrace Tong's damsel in distress characterization. And I don't blame him, Tong was annoyingly nonsensical. Oddly, the natural chemistry Joss and Gawin display in interviews did not translate well to the series. Swing and a miss, creative team. In its quest to remain relevant, GMMTV continues to ignore sound advice to stop pushing out mediocre productions that do not elevate their talent or the BL genre. Gawin and Joss will benefit from their popularity, but at what cost to their professional integrity?
