Well alright now...I really enjoyed #MoonlightChicken ep1. I saw some folks complaining about the "NC" scene and I'm sorry, but I found that scene very sensual and totally fine...I may be new to BLs, but I have noticed as someone else said, P'Aof's direction have never been to "focus" on the NC scenes...it's about the story and the direction. TBH is you are watching for "NC" scenes then you are probably looking for the wrong reasons and this show will probably NOT be the one for you. On that point, it is beautifully shot...the alley walk, the first one shot showing you "Moonlight Chicken" stall, even the bed scene were shot really well. Earth/Mix has always had mad chemistry...but for me, this is already off the charts in ep 1. Maybe cause it's been so long since their last series for me? Earth is always foine as usual, but man...this lighting for Mix...he looks gorg!!! Also too, how the hell DOES Mix keep his dang hair still looking fan-freakin-tastic at all times in that heat. If the story continues well and the direction and lighting stays done well...I already think I'm gonna like Moonlight Chicken

Yes, it was worth the wait! Everything about this first episode was beautiful the cinematography the lights reacting. The chemistry, these two are on fire. Fourth/Gemini are really good!! They’re directing was amazing. He is an incredibly talented Director. Everything he does is gold. I love the music as well and just the way the camera moved. I can’t say enough about it. To me it was really good and I can’t wait till tomorrow.

As for the possible "cheating" storyline...hmm...I honestly I don't really care. I'll take that storyline as long as I get the type of acting and chemistry I've seen so far in ep 1. Bottle that and go on ahead and feed it to me...LOL. Love your recap Tita Josie......also I love your "personal" antecdotes during your reactions. So glad I decided to join the patreon along with YT subscription! can't wait to see ep2

one possiblity Wen and Alan broke up recently and Alan still has things there like the charger? I've known folks who break up but one or the other leaves something behind that has to be either given back or taken back to the other person...oldest trick in the book, but also if you've lived with someone for any amount of time you're bound to forget/leave something right?

I think they may have broken up or agreed to take some time a part. Either way, from Wen’s perspective, the relationship is pretty much done and he’s ready to move on. That obviously sucks for Alan but I can’t wait to see how their dynamic plays out. I’m curious as to why Wen probably ended the relationship and how long they were together. I’m also kinda rooting for Alan even though he hasn’t even been properly introduced yet. I’m rooting for him, I hope he gets the closure he’s obviously looking for as well as some healing

yeah...I can def see that. Cause even the conversation with Gong, didn't seem like it was talking about an "active" relationship...IDK...interesting to see where it leads...but either way, as much as I enjoy My School President, I not really much into the usual high school age based BLs so I appreciate when there's a BL with "maturer" themes and plotlines. Not that cheating can't be part of a HS drama, but it's def not in a "mature" type way for me at least.

I love how this started. This is real life, there are many Jims, Wens, even the other characters in our world. The cinematography is chefs kiss. Earth Mix is literally comedian in real life especially Mix, his persona is just bubbly and someone who you wanna be friends with but they are really best to this kind of drama series. Their acting! Not to mention First Khao and Gemini Fourth. And Mark as well, the new gen really is amazing as well. I feel like wen broke up with alan the day when he was drinking. But let’s see! Excited for another EM journey . And I’m really loving Fourth and Mark as well they will go places.

You are right Tita, the OST is sung in mandarin as it is a new arrangement of a Taiwanese song. The MV is lovely and all 6 of our boys sing it. ♥️

This series is gorgeous, both in terms of the cinematography and the acting -- the direction too, of course. I already know it's going to be one of my favorites for 2023. 🥰💖
