ok I'm going to pass for the old man who is never happy! but what was this episode!!! seriously it's not progressing and what about this end with the girl who has no self-esteem and this: uh let's pretend like nothing ever happened! i'm just angry

🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️ This is so dumb!!! Not the "misunderstanding" trope. This ep annoyed me. Really, 🤦🏿‍♀️🤦🏿‍♀️you're gonna run all the way there and just leave because of that??🙄🙄🙄 I get Souta... but I'm with Mahiro on this. What if he did kiss him, and it turns out he doesn't like Mahiro like that(obvi we the watchers know what's what), what then would he expect Mahiro to just go back to being "friends"/ "as they where"? With that being said, Mahiro's FEARs are getting the best of him. There is that word FEAR again !!

I really feel the part with Shimizu is very unnecessary. The rest, I'm kinda OK with story-wise. We'll see. 👀😬

It's a mess at the moment, and it's going to get messier with Shimizu inserting herself into the narrative! 👀😬😅

Haha you killed me with ‘oh no it’s pride month, mama’ loved your reaction. It always gives me perspective or a good laugh. I can see Mahiro’s fear. Yet the ‘secret’ and the we can continue to be friends ship has sailed the moment he, not only kissed S but confessed. So he might as well give a opportunity to Souta.

The less I say, the better, lol. The story was being so well told I felt... and then came this episode, smh. I'm annoyed with both of them (and the writing) tbh, but Souta's emotional ignorance and awkwardness has reached ridiculous heights. Was he actually BORN a few weeks ago? Bc I'd believe it. And if Souta dates the female coworker to get back at Mahiro for "cheating", or even if he does it bc he's still hopelessly lost about his own feelings, then he's only proven Mahiro's point and I won't want him for Mahiro anymore. What a mess.

I get so frustrated with them and miscommunication it drives me crazy. It will work itself out but it’s going to get worse before it gets better

Sigh welp I do understand both of them but I'm kind of Team Souta. He's probably never thought he would be with a man and he's new to all this and has no guidance plus I don't think he's ever has a relationship maybe so he's clueless. Yes you can't just try this on for size at the expense of Mahiros feelings but he did try to face Mahiro and Mahiro just keeps running away. Besides he even said he knew Shouta was different when he started liking him and probably thought he never had a chance to begin with, isn't a 50/50 chance better than a 0% chance. If it doesn't work out, you might have some more bruises but you'll be back where you started so please listen to Ryu; calm down and you and Souta can try to work through it together. I'm kinda dreading the next episode with this 3rd wheel drama that I thought was over 2 episodes ago.

I expected Shimizu to come back into this at some point. I don’t dislike her. She’s speaking her truth just like everyone else. And I think she is going to be the catalyst for Souta to understand his feelings better. I’m kind of team Souta right now. Let’s not forget, Mahiro kissed him first (without Souta’s permission). He started this whole thing that has Souta confused. Is Souta bumbling and awkward? Absolutely. But he’s trying to face it head on and figure out his feelings. I’m going out on a limb, but I think this might be a bi/pan thing. IMO it’s easier to be unaware of your feelings for the same sex when you also have an attraction to the gender/sex that fits into the social norm. That is, until someone comes along that sparkles fireworks in your brain. At that point, you start questioning “is this real? Is this me? Or am I just imagining it?” And there really isn’t a good way to absolutely confirm that it’s real until you explore it. Souta is honestly responding to Mahiro by saying he doesn’t know but he wants to find out. That’s legit. But I can understand his determination failing when he sees Mahiro hugging Ryuu. It’s a bit silly of a conclusion to make, but my boy here is working a lot of confusion. Don’t get me wrong though, I feel bad for Mahiro. I get how painful it is, and I’d probably run away from it too. But he started this thing and now he’s mad at Souta for it. 😒 I still love both of them (and Ryuu!!), but I know who’s team I’m on right now.

Yeah I agree. I feel that considering that he kissed Souta without his consent (👀), Mahiro should give Souta some leeway to think things through. 😬

Yeah I really hope that Souta doesn't date Shimizu as part of his way of trying to figure things out. 👀😬

Yeah the drama with Shimizu is not gonna help, lol. I hope Mahiro calms down a bit because though I do understand his fear, him kissing Souta (without consent, mind you) is what caused Souta to get all confused to start with. 👀😬

That's a really interesting point about Souta possibly being pan/bi. I hadn't thought of it, but it makes a lot of sense. And yes, I love that Souta is at least trying to figure things out head on. 🥰💖

Oh by the way, Tita, I want to point out an excellent dad joke in this episode that the subtitles didn’t translate. When Souta and Mahiro are talking about the dish (suki naam), Mahiro says that ‘suki hang’ means “without soup”. Souta’s reply is actually “hen nano” (変なの), which means “that’s weird”. “Hen” is pronounced almost the same as “haang”. So, Souta is making a super cheesy wordplay here. He’s being cute and really playful with Mahiro. When Mahiro responds with “let’s start”, he’s basically saying that he’s not going to play along, and then Souta is tries to get him to respond to the joke. That’s why he pouts and calls him stingy. Souta is TOTALLY flirting. It’s a super cute and flirty exchange, and I was kinda sad that the subtitles didn’t try to translate it. So, I just wanted to share. 😊
