Dear Legends,While you wait for the next Honest Government Ad to come out, here's a little update on our Government's valiant attempts to self-satirise itself (soon they won't need my help at all)This is quite special folks, so please; make yourself a nice cuppa, sit down, and savour the sight of Attorney General George Brandis waving around our Honest Government Ads logo in the Senate, and attempting to debating whether it constitutes "genuine satire".See what we can achieve together, Patrons? From here on, anything's possible :PICYMI previous episodes of the Genuine Satire saga, here's a quick recap:It all started with a lovely email the Government sent me about our Honest Government Ads, asking me to stop using their logo lest my videos be mistaken for actual Government ads (!)Just to make sure it didn't come across as rational, the Government then drafted up a new law: "Criminal Code Amendment (Impersonating a Commonwealth Body)", which is currently before the Senate. Many legends, including Australian Lawyers for Human Rights, wrote submissions to the Senate to tell the Government this proposed law is BS.That law was debated in the Senate today. And this video is an excerpt of some choice moments. So click play and enjoy the surrealols. New Honest Govt Ad will be coming soon. Also, some big news from our team which I can't wait to share with y'all!PPS. Given all this, I hope you understand why I'm focusing on the Aussie Govt right now; it's just too good not to. But I promise to make more non-Strayan videos soon - thanks for your patience, International Patrons!<3 Giordano & team

Proposes crackdown, why don't they look at doing their jobs. Assholes!

I would like to see you break the decades old habit of voters trying to decide whether to vote for this party or that party...Daddy party or Mummy party- over and over and bloody over again! That is doing F***all! Remember Einstein's definition of insanity? Has anyone here seen one of those old time Punch and Judy shows? One puppet whacks the other one, to the amusement of children watching; just like the way the clowns in parliament carry on. In the Punch and Judy show, the whole thing is controlled by the Puppeteer pulling the strings of both characters. Pretty much like outside forces, be they big business or whoever pulling the strings of our major parties with their political "donations" etc. We need to change our political zeitgeist urgently!

Ron P

The best way to do this is also the simplest way- Put the Sitting Member Last on your Ballot Paper! Do this, irrespective of old party loyalties, and keep doing it at each election until the Sitting MP becomes more fearful of the wrath of his or her electorate, than they fear their Party Whip and threats of being disendorsed when the next election pre-selections come along.

Ron P

What have we got to lose?

Ron P

If we ever get a good competent and honest MP elected, then we keep them! Sooner or later we will rid our parties of the bludgers, incompetents and party hacks, and then we might finally end up with a parliament that genuinely works in the best interests of the electors, instead of those who bribe them with their BS political donation$ PUT THE SITTING MEMBER LAST!

OMG, that's funny 😂, I hope they don't pass that law. Keep doing what you are doing man and we are here to support you 👍

Giordano & team, On behalf of the silent majority, thank you! The work you do is a vital part of maintaining a healthy democracy. Freedoms are under attack so we must all stay strong and fight. Viva la Juice Media! <3

So meta it's ridiculous. G, did you ever imagine when you were designing that revised logo that it would be referred to directly in the Australian senate?

SOB

The continuing saga of idiocy! But please, I want in on this mail out that Senator Brandis speaks of...that would be genuine satire, fer sure. So many ideas...so few stamps...!

thejuicemedia

I'd love to say I planned this all along but, no! :D

thejuicemedia

Haha yes, maybe I should add a new reward tier to receive genuine satire in your letterbox!

Armesis

Senator for Tasmania?? lol no wonder hes bringing up such BS to the courts, there is absolutely nothing to do on that island. He's just trying to make noise to get some attention, while the big boys are busy doing real work haha.

thejuicemedia

The Tassie Senator is boss. I think you mean the Attorney General! :)

Although I'm not familiar with Australian Politics since I'm from The Netherlands, I agree that TheJuiceMedia should focus on this, because something like this doesn't come along often, if not at all. Keep up doing the good work.
