Dear Patrons,Last week our Attorney General (George 'Orwell' Brandis) held up our parody Australian Coat of Arms in the Senate explaining how it could mislead some people into mistaking our videos for actual Government communications. Thanks George.

Seen as we seem to have a little meta conversation going on with the Australian Government, we didn't want to appear rude by not replying. So we've made another Honest Government Ad in response.

Here's the audio preview - only for our Previews Club Patrons!I hope to upload it tomorrow or the next day. As always, lmk if you have any feedback re the audio levels and/or any thoughts/suggestions!<3 Giordano & team

ICYMI: here's the video of George Brandis in the Senate. It really doesn't need us to satirise it; it's a perfect Clarke & Dawe sketch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLzPuNL0BKU

Oh boy! This is the most spectacularly brutal kind of savage! Really looking forward to seeing this one!

Awesome. Just awesome. Thankyou for doing the important work you're doing. And for the laughs! :D

Also, I love how Brandis' words, and your entire premise here is "if I didn't look carefully at it... I wouldn't know" - this rings true in the sentiment you're imparting to the audience here. :)

thejuicemedia

those are my two favourite things to combine :)

Lel, that's awesome 😂

Rob Aalders

Brilliant - team you are awesome!!

Jacinta McLennan

"Who looks like a harmless potato..." - Too good :')

Lovely job. I am beginning to imagine the genuine satirical opportunities when the Parliament turns its mind to defining religious freedom. I would be delighted for you, if the debate is not as appalling as I suspect it will be.

thejuicemedia

Thanks Helen :) - the genuine satire possibilities with this government are endless alas!

Edward Lander

Wow, that's gonna land quite a blow. G, do you have a strategy in case the Aussie government double-down on their censorship?

thejuicemedia

You mean *other* than making fun of them? (If you have any other suggestions pls lmk!)

Edward Lander

Well they're already not very happy with you (cos you do such a good job of making them look corrupt and stupid). And this latest ad criticises a lot of them personally. So I think their response is likely to be quite strong. Best be prepared in case the time comes to lawyer up.

EBT

Good one.

I hope you have trade-marked "the department of genuine satire" just to mess with the Austrailien government.

thejuicemedia

It might be hard to prove that the department of genuine satire isn't an invention of the actual Australian Government... but I might be able to put it on some tshirts and stickers ;)

thejuicemedia

Will do :) and thanks for the advice Edward I appreciate the thought

Stefan "MaskinJunior" Ivarsson

Well, the case of gouverments is usually that one hand doesnt know what the other is doing, so if the office of trademarks register the trade-mark "Department of Genuine Satire" they may think of it as a department-store, and with a registered trade-mark it cant be infringing on the government to use your own trade-mark...
