Dear Previews Club, here's a sneak-peak of our forthcoming Honest Government Ad.There's been a lot of news media attention directed towards the change of leadership; but rather than go for that low-hanging fruit I decided to focus on this new law introduced by the Government to bypass encryption - the "Assistance & Access" Bill. If passed, it will mark another big step in the development of the surveillance state - which is proceeding apace regardless of who leads the Coalition Government (or a Labor Government, for that matter)Aiming to publish this HGA on Monday or Tuesday. If you have any feedback please let us know. Also taking suggestions for the "Authorised by" message at the end!Wishing you all a lovely weekend - and happy father's day to any dads out there (Sunday will be my first father's day!!)Giordano

I am not sure what could have been said about the leadership change that sounded more like Genuine Satire ™ than the reality. I confess I had missed that the Minister for Law Enforcement and Cyber Security was dropped during the recent shenanigans - thereby returning the responsibility for cybersecurity to Minister Dutton - inarguably our most admired, trusted and respected Minister. I guess now that he can't spend his day smoothing visa arrangements for au pairs or planning to save white South African farmers, he needs something to look forward to. Enjoy your first Father's Day!

Chris Barker

Brilliant. You guys have a turn of phrase that can be understood by all cultures and is far superior to Shakespeare. No wonder Poor dickhead George Brandis and his government mates are so afraid of you.

thejuicemedia

Hehe thanks Chris - i dunno about being superior to Shakespeare tho!

Assorted human rights abuses, centerlink robodebt, giving $3 billion taxpayer dollars to the war industry, MyGovHealthBullshit, facial recognition, refusing a visa for Chelsea Manning, the list gets pretty long regarding the Australian government bullfuckery.

You guys so rock. This subject is sooooo important. Incredibly, I can imagine future governments even more fascistic than the present so we gotta stop them putting all the architecture of a surveillance fascist state together with barely a peep from the peeps. Part of why I miss @Scottludlam out the senate so much.

thejuicemedia

I miss him too! But oh my god, isn't he doing a terrific job as a journalist!!?

Thanks T, am thinking of going with something similar: Department of Home Au Pairs

Gravity

Was the backing audio track too high at parts? Made it a little harder to understand than usual.

Johan Zijlstra

This is by far one of the funniest HGA I have ever listened to.

thejuicemedia

Thanks for this feedback, I've brought the music levels down a bit!

T

It's the obvious choice. (Top marks for the gratuitous reference to yet another scandal!)
