Good morning, here's a preview of our forthcoming Honest Government Ad!Once again, rather than talking about the issues already being covered in the mainstream media - Scott Morrisson, the ABC, strawberries... -  I'm focusing on a topic that (imo) is not getting enough coverageOf course, if I feel I can add value to mainstream topics, I'll do so. But for now I feel like I'm providing a better service by covering issues that need more attention - such as the desperate need we have for a National anti-corruption body to keep our dear Federal MPs in check. As always, your feedback and general vibes are muchly welcomed. At the very least they help to fire me up while I edit the video. (Spare a thought for me sitting at my computer throughout the grand final weekend)Aiming to publish this HGA very early next week.OH AND PLZ NOTE: You are not being charged extra to receive these previews! Previews are part of your rewards if you are supporting us with $3 or more per month. Not everyone might be familiar with how Patreon works (I'm still learning the ropes too!) so I just wanted to make sure everyone's aware of this.Catch you next week!Giordano

It seems Prime Minister Smiley is becoming less jolly as the various poop trains arrive at his station. While I can understand his unwillingness to create a Federal ICAC, the events that have come to light over recent weeks do make it seem to the casual observer that his government has more poop to hide - probably a whole lot more poop to hide .

Adam Ahmed

Need some federal ipecac, tbh

Hey Giordano, I reckon tie at least some corruption to Defence contracts. They are mega huge and they are ever expanding and the corruption warriors [yes apparently these are honest public servants in the unusual style] say that these are the places corruption happens easily. Get up has a corruption campaign - though you don't see it much - maybe they are still researching. But I think because I complain they don't do militarism - they sent me a short video they made about Airbus helicopters [not Tigers - but Tigers have a similar story] that were expanding in costs and never got used and then the future contracts were abandonned.

Margaret Pestorius

BTW I like that you use these words which I'm emphasising on twitter #mates #revolvingdoor #transparency [actually you don't use transparency - and neither do I but apparently it is the normal word for this - as per that Guardian article you mention]

Margaret Pestorius

I think the idea of the #revolvingdoor is really important because it shows people how the system works through a fairly small number of people moving in RELATIONSHIPS in and out of : well: defence dept/ government /bureacracy/ diplomacy/ militaryservice itself. We have been looking for a decent GIF that represents #revolvingdoor that we could use for Twitter - so if you imaging/graphics settles on something I'd love to know. #revolvingdoor. Thanks for your work

hah brilliant as always. Who were you talking about with all the "lotsa moneys for these guys" bit? I could only think of the Great Barrier Reef handout, and Adani should be in there somewhere. And I agree with Margaret that defense/intelligence/surveillance industry should get a mention if you've got the time. Corruption has to be rife with all the anti-terror anti-privacy anti-freedom mass surveillance laws being forced through.

Credibility is paramount. Even if you're not touching on the most juicy conspiracy theories, you gain a broader audience whenever you can readily supply legit sources for your claims (perhaps even linking to them in/after the video?). I think it's awesome to call out so many examples of corruption, but only so long as each and every one is credible - in this way you're less likely to appear as fake news, and fencesitters/naysayers won't be able to dismiss / discredit you as easily. <3 Love your work!

I love the "oh sweetheart". Brilliant! And the "cos fuck you" ending. Perfect!

Marissa Theodore

All salient points. I'm glad you're addressing these kinds of topics but I'm also cool with you going for the "low-hanging fruit". You do a stellar job of addressing any and all of the political shenans regardless. I do take your point about the mainstream visibility of certain issues versus others so I think your approach is a good call on that score. Looking forward to seeing the video!

the United States. The ADF told ABC: "As this matter is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Australian Federal Police (AFP), it is not appropriate to provide further comment on any individual's alleged involvement in this investigation. Any further enquiries relating to the investigation are a matter for the AFP." The AFP told ABC it was, "working in conjunction with the Australian Department of Defence (DoD) and the [United States US Defense Criminal Investigative Service] DCIS to investigate any Australian involvement in the alleged corruption". "As this matter is ongoing, it is not appropriate to provide further comment," it added. Many of those facing criminal charges in the US have pleaded guilty, admitting the extensive evidence against them, including email and phone trails about money and a host of other benefits they received from Francis, put their guilt beyond all reasonable doubt. So too has Francis, the man who corrupted so many senior military officers. Singapore, where Francis was based, sees more Australian ships pass through it than any other navy's, save for the United States. The Australian Navy's ship movements in the region were clearly a rich vein of potential revenue to Francis. It raises the question of whether Francis may have bribed Australian officers to reveal classified Australian military information. Australian authorities silent on criminal investigations To date, Australian authorities have been virtually mute on whether and how the Leonard Francis scandal has involved Australian officers. Actually there's a whole section suggesting Australia is in the same boat. "The US Navy has been investigating its own, and many of the reports it has produced in the course of that investigation have been released to the ABC. They show the US military has sent officers to Australia to investigate GDMA."

Thanks Margaret, it's pretty much locked in script-wise now but I'll see what I can do!

thejuicemedia

Yep - GBRF! And the second "mate" is the bloke who owns the visa processing company (Pacific Blue)

thejuicemedia

Thanks Marissa. I know what you mean! Usually, I try to do a bit of both! Sometimes I just get a bit tired of everyone just chasing the latest topic du jour.... I think it tends to shorten our attention spans! :)

Tom Mettam

I love this one. And you raise a good point - Sure, you can spy on me, watch what I do on the internet, see my bank account, listen to my phone calls.... but I can spy on you too, right? .... right? .... What do you mean "classified"? No no, I get it, you're surveilling millions of innocent people because of one or two bad apples. Makes total sense! I just want the same access to you, too, just on the small tincy wincy chance that you might not be acting in our best interests.... What? There's never been a documented incident of a government acting against the best interests of its people? Oh, okay then.

Graham William Kidd

Can you work in a Partner / Not Partner in honour of JBish?

Edward Lander

Brilliant! Very much looking forward to this vid :)

thejuicemedia

Hi Graham, thx for the suggestion - what's that about? (Maybe I missed this!)

Graham William Kidd

Her boyfriend is her partner when it comes to travel etc, but not her partner whenever it would cost her a financial liability. :)

thejuicemedia

Oh damn I forgot about that lol - kinda hard to keep track of all this bs!

Tygrr FitzSapien

Could maybe mention getting propaganda printed by their mates to tell us what to believe? Y'know, their mate's printing co. that has no printer, just takes millions in public funds to order the delivery.

thejuicemedia

Thanks Tygrr, that could be turned into a whole video unto itself!
