In two short month's they've gone from denying the connection between greenhouse emissions and more intense fires, to... "yeah ok climate change is real, and now we must adapt to it"That's the kind of leadership we have: "Let's skip the bit where we fight to mitigate the worst effects of climate change (which we helped cause) while we still have time left, and go straight to telling you its inevitable and you need to adapt. Bye now, gotta catch a plane to Honolulu".This signals a profound and extremely sinister shift in policy - it's borderline sociopathic, I would say - and one that, left unchallenged, will pretty much seal our fate.   So that's why I picked this topic for our inaugural Honest Government Ad of the new decade: as I believe this sets the stage for what's coming in the years ahead - and not just from the Australien Government, also from other governments owned by fossil fuel interests.
