Dear PatronsHere's our Honest Government Ad special for the 2022 federal election. And it’s a big one.It’s also our Season 2 finale! (an HGA season = a term of Australia’s federal government, and this one hatched in May 2019).So it's the end of a chapter of history. A shit-stained chapter, no-doubt, but history nevetheless. And so on behalf of all of us here at the Juice Media, I want to thank you for supporting our work over these past three years. Especially those of you have been with us since Season 1. Without your support we could never have been able to chronicle these past three years, and covered all the issues we have, in Australia and elsewhere.The election is on May 21 so, who knows, we might be able to sneak in one more cheeky little HGA before then. We’ll see.And whichever way the election goes, we’ll be back for Season 3 of the Honest Government Ads. Hopefully we’ll have a different government to satirise. What is the best way to get this seen by people who most need to see it but probably won't? In Canberra, Zed (through Advance Australia) is doing what he can to get LNP voters to think our best chance at getting rid of Zed is affiliated with the greens, in an attempt to make them not vote for him. These are the people that need to see it, but they're also the people that probably read news.com.au and other Murdoch media and never will see it.

If there was an Academy-like award for the best totally holistic approach to ripping off people, rewarding multinationals, taking care of your donors, failing in the basic duties of care/security, destroying the environment, and, of course grinning likes pigs at the trough, it would clearly have been won by the current Australian Government, though there are other strong contenders in the world - so, I imagine one of their election promises is to keep Australian in the lead when it comes to covering all but the top 1% of the people in smelly brown stuff ...

Brilliant video, as always, but... Even though I am a Patreon supporter and long time viewer of your excellent content I have always found one thing in particular quite irksome. The fact that you use actors to mouth to the words of your narrator. Does anyone else take issue with this? After two fantastic seasons of articulate and informative satire I still can't get over how uncomfortable and unnatural it feels to watch two people mouthing to the words of another. They all do a great job of course, but to me it's an obvious and unsettling thing to see. Some sort of aural uncanny valley or something.
