Hello from New York! Trump is being arraigned at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office here tomorrow, so it's an interesting time to be here. (The people I'm staying with can barely contain their excitement)But I'm actually here on my way to my actual destination: Canada.

I'm honoured to have been invited to speak in Toronto this week at a gathering of talented satirists and comedians who will be producing content about the Canadian government's own bullshit. There's a strong realisation forming now about the role of "narrative change" as an essential step towards mobilising action on key issues, such as climate policy. This article does a good job of covering this and even mentions The Juice Media as an example. Which is a reminder that we (that means us and you, our Patrons, who make our work possible) have been at the forefront of this work over the past few years. I guess that is why I've been invited to attend this talk, and I look forward to sharing the experience with you soon.I've lost count of the number of times people have asked us to make an Honest Government Ad for Canada - which, like Australia, is a major emitter of climate shitfuckery. So while I'm there I hope to talk with as many experts as I can to eventually create an HGA about Canada. I also hope to speak with Indigenous people who - as always - are on the frontlines of the fight to stop the expansion of fossil fuel mining on their traditional lands. Anyway, just a little update to let you know what I'm up to. I'll catch you again soon and as always, thank you for your ongoing support of our workGiordanoPS. How good was the NSW election. I was so stoked with the result - not just seeing the last Shit Party government being kicked off the mainland, but also a Hung Parliament - which means the Shit-Lite party will have to negotiate with a Not-Shit crossbench in order to govern. Which is honestly the best result we can hope for in all Aussie elections for the foreseable future.

Welcome to NYC, mate!

Hope your presentation goes well in Toronto, Giordano! Yeah, the media is trying to boost ratings by covering TrumpleThinSkin's arraignment. They would do MUCH better if they just aired Randy Rainbow's latest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ues8ycOxXKM He, and the Juice Media, help me keep my sanity in this asylum.

Bravo Giordano. Satirists and cartoonists of the world unite. Expose, in the most creatively engaging ways to reach the largest of audiences, the shitfuckery of international state corruption in all its heinous forms. All strength to your right hemispheres, voices and pens. β€οΈπŸ•ŠπŸ’ͺπŸ»βš–οΈ

Enjoy your trip to Canada. I wish you had been coming to Montreal but, c'est la vie.

Welcome your in my town now. Listen if you don’t know about Abbey Martin at Empire Files please give her a look. She is now and has been for over a year working on a doc about the pollution put out by our Pentagon alone. She States that if you put all countries , industries ,cars trucks and heating air conditioning and power production and manufacturing with fossil fuels together it still would not match the pollution of the pentagon alone. Have a great visit you might like Central Park especially if you have the kids, children’s zoo. Enjoy and keep up the great work.

Seeing that little PS you wrote at the end about how great the NSW election was, reminded me to revisit the awesome HGA - Hung Parliament. It's one of my favourites! (Who am I kidding, they're practically all my favourites!) Have a great time in New York USA & Canada. I get more upset when I think of govts that are supposed to be better (Sht lite Trudeau govt) but who are still captured by the shitfuckery of fossil fuel companies. They deserve every ounce of criticism & satire that is thrown their way! Stay safe, I hope you avoid covid & have a great trip. We can't wait for more HGAs from Australia and around the world.

Canada! Finally! Have supported your work in the faint hope someone like you would ultimately skewer Canadian political figures as you have so successfully done down under. Enjoy!

Is this a live event thing and is there any chance it will be live streamed? Will have to up my subscription because there is a ton of shitfuckery going on over there.

thejuicemedia

Thanks Lynda πŸ™ I've been wearing my mask on every flight (one of the few!) more HGAs coming soon :)

thejuicemedia

Thank you Anuradha, so far its been a great trip - just arrived in Vancouver πŸ™

thejuicemedia

Hi Stuart, sorry it wasn't a public event. However, the work that will come out of the gathering will be published online and it will be focusing on the local shitfuckery. Stay tuned

Linda B.

I guess it was a good thing you didn't come to Montreal and have to deal with our ice storm and power outages, that started on the 5th of April.

thejuicemedia

omg yes I heard about them - some of the people I met in Toronto were from Montreal and they were dealing with some panicked relatives back home!
