Dear PatronsThis is the audio preview of our next Honest Government Ad.I was working on another HGA this month, and we were almost about to film it... but then the government of South Australia decided to rush through a pretty hardcore bill last week, so we put the other script on hold and jumped onto this one. The bill will be voted on in SA's upper house on Tuesday, so I'm pulling an all-nighter of editing here to get it out tomorrow (wish me luck). I hope you like it. Sorry for the short notice!Giordanops. I've also been working on an HGA about anti-protest legislation that's been introduced around the world, including the UK and US, and various Australian States.

Cheeses Crust. As usual, "cool and normal." The SA petrolpuppets insist on cracking down on protests, like the one that happened yesterday in the Netherlands: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65735289 The dukes and barons gotta keep all the serfs under strict control, huh?

I don't understand why people are not more concerned about the sustained and increasing restrictions of our right to protest. It is a fundamental democratic right. If it doesn't inconvenience anyone, it is not effective.

OMG. Is this really happening. What happened to this country? Its our right to vote, its our right to have an opinion and now we are slowly coming under the control of Big Brother Govt. Has everyone become numb. This is definitely not ok. Please don't just let it happen.......PROTEST! Thank you Juice Media for bringing this up and prioritising getting the word out.

Oh dear - have Australian politicians been listening to the UK again? That’s never a good idea - you might end up with a Liz Truss. We’ve just had our own right wing shitgibbons effectively outlaw any form of protest that might just cause any inconvenience to anyone. Three days after the laws came into effect, London’s Metropolitan Police had a delightful day rounding up peaceful anti royalty protestors and one Australian fan of the royalty who was out there to wave at a man in a magic hat. Stop getting ideas from us - our country’s gone mad!

In Germany, some forms of "obstruction of public places" (e.g. climate activists glueing themselves to roads) are currently being called "ecoterrorism" by various mainstream politicians and news outlets, and are being treated as organised crime by the Bavarian state police :)

This is brilliant. I love how cut-throat it is. Also, nothing like a bit of Monday morning pessimism, but talk about stepping further in the direction of 1984.

hmmm...dunno about wading into this one Giordano. As an Adelaidian I was here and saw what went on. The protesters prevented all traffic getting through... people missed treatment appointments at the RAH (North Terrace) where the protest was near, ambulances diverted and traffic chaos. There was a lot of venom shouted by the protesters and locals here in the main agree with stopping theses numpties doing it again. The protest group REALLY mucked up as a 'hearts and minds' exercise. A PR disaster for them here.

Thanks a lot, Gordano and All, and keep up your important work!

Sandra Kirby

Yes. Sadly, if a protest disrupts the lives of urban dwellers/ commuters used to an entitled life, it is resented as disrespecting important ‘me’. If the protesters are scruffy activists it provokes outrage and plays right into the hands of multiple states new anti protest laws. The School Strikes For Climate are magnificent. I hope they resume asap.

Sadly all Labor governments in Australia are carbon captured as Juice Media has so splendidly revealed. Time for them to follow the Liberals into oblivion to be replaced by grassroots’ elected independents.

As the brilliant Jon Kudelka’s cartoon said on Saturday, Any conflicts of interest to declare Sir? I can assure you my ONLY interest is money.!!!!!
