If it helps, you can headcanon that she was lurking, nigh invisibly, just off the edge of or even in-panel for many other strips.

Very nice of Becky to get straight to the point of why she's mad! Also Joyce making Joe flush will continue to be funny for a long time. Is it just me, or are the hands (I think) on Joyce's chest in panel 4 but have no point of reference in any of the other panels a bit odd? Is it Joyce holding her hands up in a stop motion? Becky preventing her walking for drama? Joe groping her from behind (probably not)?! We can't see thumbs to determine hand direction, just fingers. Joyce's hands would make sense, but we can see in the other panels that her sleeves are over her hands currently, and we can't see the sleeves even at the bottom of the hands in the image. It might be that they're just out of frame, but it adds to my finding it difficult to parse the hands. The others would make less sense, but are still possible.

Joyce's hands for sure. For Joe's hands to be in an upright palms-out position like that, they'd have to be at his shoulder height (try it!), but that's the height of the upper part of Joyce's head.

I have no problem with Joyce exploring her sexuality and pushing her own boundaries but I am worried the way that she’s treating it like a fun game is a recipe for problems and hurt feelings
