TobyTura

oh my god AWWWWWWEEE

Andrea Andrew

Good for Joe. Guess that Macaroni and cheese was a gourmet recipe.

E

Step 1: arm tattoos

Jeremy AR

Awwww, doing something that made Joyce happy inspired him on what he wants to do in his life.

Austin Baugh

You made mac n' cheese. You made Mac N' Cheese my guy. YOU MADE MAC N' CHEESE!

Harold

@Minzoku Bokumetsu: Chef Boy-that-was-some-handjob-last-night

Jeremy AR

The specific meal is irrelevant, not matter how complex or simple, he made something that made someone he loves happy, and that inspired him to want to do it more. We all start somewhere.

Diane

Huh, was the mac and cheese that good? I hope that means it was made and eaten. Also where's Jocelyne?

TobyTura

awww at Joe realizing what he wants to do bc of his date with Joyce, not what Danny's saying. to be clear. LMAO

Diane

And I'm sorry in advance, but yeah, taking it as my duty to ask the important question of this storyline. At least in patreon. Someone else can ask on the website.

Jim Avery

Whenever Jocelyne is not on screen, the audience should be asking "where's Jocelyne?"

Austin Baugh

It was less a where you start type of thing, and more of a life trajectory thing, "I did a thing for the first time so I'm gonna base my entire life plans around it!" for a thing he did last night.

Harold

@Diane: It's entirely possible that Jocelyne will return in the very last strip of the storyline, rendering the title technically correct (the best kind).

Tim

Wait, does this mean he's going to work at Galasso's at some point and be "introduced" to Conquest? Don't nobody touch the Drama Tag!

Edwin I Callahan

I was expecting something engineer related, like giant robots.

Dan Rabin

He associates even looking at Conquest with being beaten up.

Omnithea

I refuse to believe he can grow a beard.

Jeremy AR

Hey, people had changed their life for less.

Dan Rabin

1. I am not going to treat this as a passing thing until it has obviously passed. Joe's first identity as ethical pick-up guy ran its course, and he knows he can't just be Joyce's wonderful lover indefinitely, because that's not a real identity, just an extension of Joyce. Besides, attaining chef-hood is miserable hard work, and he won't last a day in a commercial kitchen without insane motivation. 2. When can we buy tickets to round one of Danny's shaver vs. Sarah's toothbrush? 3. Oh, never mind. Jocelyne will show up whenever she was written months ago to show up, and it will probably be a good bit of storytelling when it happens.

Bronxden

You know what, good on Joe because food is the key to anyone heart

Avian

it's official, that mac and cheese FUCKED and they ate.

Onyx

I love Danny

Maude Reads Things

Nice! That's a great job idea, Joe! ....Not sure what the hell being at IU will do for it though. Last I checked it didn't have a culinary arts program

Jey Siksa

CAUSE THE MAC N CHEEESSEEE 🥺🥺🥺🥺

Machalt

I'm not totally sure but I have reason to believe that one of these two is Jocelyn.

SkittleE

She Has to be in here somewhere, Willis wouldn't torture us with extended periods of waiting!

SkittleE

It's like Where's Waldo, except it's..........uh............Jwhere's Jocelyne

Kelly (they-them)

That mac and cheese was the first thing Joe ever cooked and he's like, "Why haven't I been doing this all my life??" Wait until he discovers peanutbutter sandwiches

Jeremy AR

He could also get some business courses so he could get his food place.

AE Gonzalez

“If mac-and-cheese gets me a handjob, imagine what beef Wellington will lead to!”

Anna K

Be fair, Danny: chefs get paid to put their things in every gender's mouths. You point this out, and you welcome Joe to symbolic bisexuality.

Jasmijn Wellner

Panel 1: no Jocelyne Borderless panel 2: no Jocelyne Panel 3: no Jocelyne Panel 4: no Jocelyne Panel 5: no Jocelyne

Bagge

Yes, yes, Danny. You are very clever. Now listen to your friend trying to have a friendship moment with you

ljdbjlasfbjk

Joyce: "Beef Wellington? This is neither macaroni nor cheese. This is unacceptable."

Harold

And vice versa. Sort of.

Harold

Also I can't help hearing "Boy-ar-dee" in Anton Ego's voice

Diane

@Harold Oh I expect it as well. That's why I'm apologizing now cause I'm not gonna shut up.

Phil_M

Honestly, I’ll be less impressed when Joyce finally gets laid than when she finally tries some foodstuffs she hasn’t eaten before.

Phil_M

Harold - Oh gods yes please.

Phil_M

Joe is, I fear, confusing correlation with causation. Cooking that meal finally got him a handjob, so now he associates cooking with sexual relief. But it won’t always work that way. Anyhow, time for someone to make him sit through every episode of The Bear, and then see if this new idea still stands.

Harold

@Philip Masters: The two may not necessarily be mutually exclusive
