I have to think that at some point, Joyce is going to remember her odd (as it seemed to her at the time) conversation with Ethan, and put 2+2 together. Hopefully she won't be mad at him, and will understand why he didn't tell her. This strip indicates that that may be the case. She's come so, so incredibly far.

This is cute and Joyce is handling it perfectly but if I were in Jocelyne's shoes I'd be a LITTLE disappointed that her head didn't explode Like, only get to drop this kinda big revelation on people you've known most of your life so many times, your mind could be a LITTLE blown (talking to YOU, dentist and childhood neighbor who acted totally professional and didn't even bat an eye when I suddenly showed up for a cleaning with boobs and long hair 😤)

Jocelyne falls into confident smiles once she's actually talking to her beloved younger sister, but her right hand is in a fist again. The panels show Joyce with Joe until she has listened to and digested Joe's "aha" remark—then the final panel shows the sisters being sisters. All three of them get to use a forefinger in this strip. Joyce echoes Jocelyne's finger indicating a change in herself.
