She's apologizing for NOT doing something, though - I would guess she's trying to apologize for not being "faithful" because that seems like a very Dorothy thing to do. After all, she's not down herself to be sorry for having feelings for Joyce, she's just sorry that she's having feelings outside of the relationship that she decided to start to distract herself from having feelings for Joyce 🙃

I agree. One of my favorite strips is of them from around book 3 or 4. Dorothy sees Walky across the lobby and they run up to each other to swing each other run, eventually falling down laughing. And also Jennifer-then-Billie was there in the background being ignored

Yeah, I thought the apology was for not sending him the *original* cleavage picture, the one she sent to Joyce with a "lol" instead. That's the kind of photo you're meant to send to your partner, and in Dorothy's mind, sending a number of similar photos might be how she makes up for it.
