you know, of crying babies covered in chocolate, people singing "happy birthday" to my son who have never even met him before, you know, the whole routine

It's like you're using captions to hurt me on pretty innocent strips. Damn you, Willis.

Andrea Andrew

Amber comes back, and is probably told by Dorothy and Walky (her ex) to vacate. No wonder she’s cranky.

Amber: if you’ve ever even considered throw pillows you’re a class traitor Ruth: hey man how’s it going

Or, as the kids say, “touch grass” (I have no idea if the kids say this)

Kelly (they-them)

We can always count on you for a good alt-text Scrubs reference

@Andrea Andrew: Why would Dorothy and Walky be in Amber's room? Pretty sure that's Dorothy's room (and bed) in the strip that ended with Walky taking off his pants. Becky and Dina appear to have left (unless there are suitless shenanigans going on out of frame, but I doubt that).

While she do share a half bath, she is not in the same room as Dorothy; she do share the same room as Dina however, so she may had to vacate because of Dina and Becky.

In which Amber tries putting words in other people's mouths. She's not giving off main character energy, she's giving off author insert energy.

Harold

Reminder that Amber ended her tiddy-pics conversation with Dorothy yesterday (in comic time) by *saying* "LOL"

Bad Poetry

You have to forgive yourself for everything that went down the other day.

Andrea Andrew

I’m surprised these two don’t interact that much.

Harold

It has occurred to me, though, that nothing could be so simultaneously sad and hilarious as the idea of Amber being sexiled from her room by her roommate's girlfriend's roommate because Becky and Dina were using Becky and Dorothy's room. Not to mention getting sexiled so that Dorothy could bang someone with whom Amber herself had hooked up for a while.

Andrea Andrew

If Dorothy hasn’t had some regret already.

Harold

@Andrea Andrew: They've actually interacted a fair amount, but I think Ruth has a tendency to walk on eggshells around her because she knows Amber/Amazi-Girl's issues are *way* above her pay grade. She's a better RA than she likes to give herself credit for, but she does not have the bandwidth to give Amber the kind of help she needs (and which, to be fair, she says repeatedly she doesn't want).

Maude Reads Things

Did something happen on the site or is this about the strip? Sorry, I'm sleepy right now

Maude Reads Things

Well, this is yet another awkward interaction that I'm sure won't worry Ruth further

Harold

@BBCC: It's about the alt-text, which (taking off from Amber's line in the final panel) is a reference to a particularly beloved (and particularly emotional) episode of SCRUBS.
