And now she's remembering the times she felt guilty over not being able to help Joyce when something terrible was happening to her. And, more than likely, she's going to start feeling guilty about *this*. About being here now. About what she's been thinking about. And - I hope I'm wrong about this, but I have a feeling I'm not - she's probably going to be gone when Joyce returns from her shower.

Horrific memories aside, it's very sweet (gay) that Dorothy remembers what Joyce was wearing during their watch party

I'd say the opposite happens. She won't leave. Joyce right now wants and says she needs her help. Dorothy's trauma and guilt in relation to not being able to protect Joyce in these terrible moments will likely cause her to focus on her more in this moment.

I like the way the evoking of the memories started in the previous strip and continues into the present strip without any new scene-setting. There's also a nice minor realistic detail of Dorothy working her way leftward in the closet as she pulls out different garments to consider.

My favorite part in the last panel (favorite sorta in quotes) is how I think Dorothy is holding an empty hanger, and remembering Joyce's kidnapping (she wasn't wearing a sweatervest), so even the empty hangers are traumatic.

Joyce was abducted; Dina followed. Becky was not abducted, but was brought to the scene later by Amazi-Girl. The scene depicted in panel 5 is the van with Joyce and Faz in it being driven off by Blaine.

Dorothy has a really good memory. Not because she can recall these mostly tragic events but she remembers what Joyce was wearing during each of them. I guess it helps when you have the clothing in front of you to jog your memory

I appreciate this comment. I was a little confused by the last panel. I was like, "Did Joyce's pajamas slip off the hanger? Who hangs their PJs??" Now the proper interpretation seems so obvious and I feel silly

Does she sabotage Joyce’s willingness to go all the way during this date with Joe (sew doubt, that sort of thing) in the belief that she’s protecting Joyce but also guiltily wants to be Joyce’s first? If hypothetically she does do this, I can see Dorothy falling into a deeper self loathing.
