Corronchilejano

I'm not used to being so invested for so long.

Dustin Warner

Such a cute date! I see no way anything could mess this up. Nope.

Ria

Man this is some anxiety-inducing pacing right here

Fart Captor

"Time for my OTHER date. With my GIRLFRIEND"

Garrett Kunkel

The exception being that we're starting a storyline with people who aren't freshly awakening?

Andrea Andrew

Wow, really speeding through the date. Oh, look! Scooters like the service ones in cities like the downtown areas.

Megh

I love how suspicious of the menu Joyce looks

Lisa

Ooo I like the lighting on everyone's faces at the movie.

Taffy

Just like Mike rode shortly before his untimely death.

Vivian

This is such a good date

Harold

@Taffy: [sad trombone slide]

5099 5618 v2.0

Dorothy probably has a few pointers on how to work through that.

Tim

Is something going to turn into a pumpkin?

Crunchos cereal

I thought the idea was peaches and eggplants?

Harold

@Megh: Joyce may be changing at lightning speed, but some things will *never* change.

5099 5618 v2.0

My guess would be less pumpkin, more werewolf.

5099 5618 v2.0

This assumes the absence of werewolves named Pumpkin, of course.

Packy Anderson

I thought storylines ended with people going to sleep!

L2theBell

I know it's the start of a new story line but having so little to go off is killing me. What am I even supposed to over analyze here?

David M Willis

It was only at the end of books, and that stopped back in year ten, with the timeskip

Packy Anderson

I mean, I'm old, so I remember the good old days. 😉

Taffy

We in The Biz™ refer to this as a The Montage.

Harold

@Taffy: As opposed to The Menage, which hopefully we also might see sooner or later

C

Well, they seem to be having fun...I'm still sad from yesterday, but hey, let's see where the story goes.

Andrea Andrew

I wonder if Dorothy got any sleep that night.

Megh

Spaceballs II The Search for More Money

darklion

Dorothy ... is ... Joyce's ... only exception?

Lisa

Joe looks nervous.

Dan Rabin

The way the white thing in the first panel illuminates, but the white things in the last panel *are* illuminated; the visual correspondence between popcorn and snowflakes; the way Dorothy and Walky's first intercourse was preceded by falling rain, and Joyce and Joe's by falling snow; the visibility of both of their *left* hands only in the movie-theater panel; the relative romance levels of Joe and Joyce on scooters versus Danny and Sal on bicycles; .... Anybody can play!

Dan Rabin

Joyce's hand outstretched to catch snowflakes might be too cute for mortal gazebos.

Andrea Andrew

Possibly, although we’ve seen her sexually fawn over Sal, Billie, and say Alice is pretty. People seem to think Joyce is a 3.

Dan Rabin

The part of the date where touching is bad.

Dan Rabin

It's a special no-royalty Generic Date Movie from Comic Artists' Supply House.

SkittleE

Back in dickity-two, when wheels were square and storylines ended with bedtime

SkittleE

@5099 5618 Damn, maybe a werewolf named Pumpkin should be my next DnD character

Sajuuk-Khar

We call ‘em Mike-Bikes where I’m from, to increase the emotional damage

Sajuuk-Khar

*dramatic prairie dog turn*

Maude Reads Things

I didn't realize all books no longer ended in bed. I'll have to check again XD

Jasmijn Wellner

I'm guessing Joyce hasn't told Joe about the Moment she had with Dorothy right before he knocked on her door

AE Gonzalez

I suspect it’s gonna reference something completely different. *The* only exception instead of *my*

Shane Wegner

ew! I'm getting Continuity all over me! get it off!

Sky Starlight

My gay ass is right there with you.

Crunchos cereal

I just hope Dorothy has left Joyce's bed when these two get back.

Crunchos cereal

I mean, narrow college beds, hard to fit three.

Baqly

Well now that wouldnt fit with the naming scheme of the song would it?

Acebender

is she going to be thinking of Dorothy later on?

Harold

@FAAAAACE: She was already out of the bed - she watched, forlornly, from the door as The Happy Couple walked down the hall. Then she probably trudged back to her room, only to find Dina's necktie tied around the knob and "DOTTY GO AWAY" scrawled on the whiteboard.

Crunchos cereal

Ah, yeah, I somehow remembered the strip before that, where she was left on Joyce’s bed.

Sajuuk-Khar

Shane…it’s Dumbing of Age. It’s ALL continuity. …Always has been.

meh

becky is joyce's exception, she's bi for everyone but becky. beause beckys family. and we're all gonna have to hope becky spends 3 full strips running around celebrating the vindication of her gaydar. instead of immediately saying something passive aggressive that hurts dina.

Andrea Andrew

Certainly not Joyce finding out she likes Dorothy.

alphanor

hard to fit two

AE Gonzalez

She yells out Dorothy’s name while Joe goes down on her. Concurrently, Dorothy yells out Joyce’s name as Walky goes down on her.

AE Gonzalez

Let’s not forget Dorothy tried to talk Walky into a threesome with Joyce.

Ilana Feldman

Has there actually ever been that impactful of a story development in a slipshine?

Lisa

I'd say there has! In the slipshine with Joe and Malaya, he has this moment at the end where he fantasizes that it's Joyce in bed with him, and then he gets a Realization Face.
