I met a few people who are immune to tear gas. One lived near an oil refinery and one lived in an (extra) industrial part of Detroit, so maybe chemicals can grant immunity over time. I see the tiny pink dots that maybe mean they’re being affected by it. But as someone who has tasted being exposed to teargas, talking in complete sentences and keeping ordinary facial expressions become pretty out of reach. I’d hazard a guess Willis hasn’t experienced it to really reflect in character reactions.

As odd as it may seem, I'm kinda most interested in where things go for Amber & Amazi-Girl in the fallout from this. Amazi-Girl's gonna have a lot more trouble going out on patrol now she's been seen beating up cops (and that's assuming she doesn't get arrested). It'll be interesting to see what'll happen if she has to stop just after specifically gearing up for a big return. Meanwhile, Booster pretty much guaranteed that Amber's gonna feel responsible for any and all of the fallout from Joyce & Dorothy getting together. Even if she does get back together with Walky, its only a matter of time before she tells him and blows everything up all over again.

I have been trying to articulate my issues with team paladin. I think some.... of them are using cheating as a excuse to use threatening and homophobic language and it makes me way less charitable towards them some of them come across as acting like Ross so obsessed with "moral purity" that they don't realize how harmful they are being.

I was really hoping that today's strip would explore the relationship drama that yesterday's strip created. But at the same time I realize that this just wasn't an option, realistically, since we need to actually see them get out of the place (or get arrested, if that's where the plot is going), or it would feel like super choppy storytelling. Getting to "the good parts" quicker than advisable just means that they won't be as good. In order to make myself more patient, I'm gonna tell myself that it'll take a week until the fallout shows up.

I think what I like most is that this was the freshmen-sophomore year college experience for me. The drama, who is dating who, who. Has discovered their sexuality, the messiness of fleeting relationships, all of it. And the fact that everyone has an opinion on it really speaks as to what Willis has done here.
