1. Joyce has imprinted: https://www.dumbingofage.com/2025/comic/book-15/03-me-and-who-you-say-i-was-yesterday/itsadate/ 2. The strip layout has an opening borderless panel that sets the scene in the store and launches the discussion. The second borderless panel is the only Joyce solo, which is appropriate because she's talking about a clothing desire that springs entirely from her and her comic. In the last two panels, our protagonistas face each other and discuss clothing desires that function in their relationship. The four Joyce/Dorothy panels would logically all have the same framing, but panel 2 needs to have a wider angle to accommodate them standing further apart and additionally throwing Joyce's right elbow and Dorothy's right arm far to their sides. Willis has traded off having a consistent pattern in order to show more acting, which is a reasonable choice given how talky the strip is.

@Lenny: Joe is gonna be fine whatever happens. That dude is probably one of the healthiest guys in this comic and most importantly his preferred method of coping isn’t pretending consequences don’t exist until they become bigger problems. He’s not showing up now because he represents reality and consequences and these two are still pretending that doesn’t exist for as long as they possibly can. If they actually bother going to any classes today we might see him soonish. I’m guessing in like a week our time?

(up until i typed it out and realized it made no fucking sense i thought it was Renewal of Vowels?????????) Also two thoughts i'm having trouble putting cleanly into words. 1. Maybe a part of the reason Doris is president is explicitly because she likes seeing Dorothy in a suit. This might also be because she really really wants to marry her and associate suits with marriage and thus also sex. 2. Remember Joyce's reaction to seeing Dina in a suit? I do.
